Personal Care for Every Paw!
I’ve grown up surrounded by all kinds of animals, from cats and dogs to chickens, horses, and even a rescue fawn! Animals have always been a big part of my life, and caring for them is something I genuinely love. Over the past few years, I’ve had the opportunity to travel the world, including spending time in New Zealand where I was fortunate enough to house-sit and care for some wonderful dogs. I’ve also built up experience through TrustedHousesitters, looking after pets in their own homes and making sure they feel safe, happy and well cared for while their owners are away. I’m very happy to provide references from my TrustedHousesitters stays if you’d like to hear about my experience from previous pet owners. Now that I’m back in the UK and settled in York, I’d love to continue doing what I enjoy and help care for your pets. While I’m not currently able to have a dog of my own, this gives me the perfect opportunity to enjoy plenty of walks, playtime and cuddles with yours! I’ll always treat your pets as if they were my own, taking the time to understand their individual personalities, routines and needs. Whether your dog loves long walks and adventures, a good game of fetch, or simply curling up on the sofa for some company, I’m here to make sure they feel happy, comfortable and loved while you’re away. I know how important it is to leave your pet in someone you can trust, and I’ll do everything I can to give you peace of mind while they’re in my care.

I met Giulia through Trusted Housesitters when I was looking for a sitter for my dog Jasper. She had a one night stay in my flat in Edinburgh over her birthday weekend. Giulia is a lovely person, she had excellent communication, was very responsive to messages, arrived promptly for all agreed times, and very responsible in looking after Jasper and my flat. Before her sit we discussed necessary logistics and she even came over the day before so I could walk her through the flat and she could meet Jasper. During the sit she kept me updated with photos and messages on how Jasper was doing. After the sit I came back to a nice tidy flat and a very happy pup. I'd happily recommend Giulia and also have her come sit for me again!
I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Giulia to look after your dog. Giulia has a wonderful relationship with our Golden Retriever and I have no worries when we leave Mabel in her very capable hands. I have also seen the way she cares for all the other doggies (all shapes and sizes!) who visit and stay with us. I was thrilled to watch Giulia’s world travels last year and read all the excellent reviews she received from the owners of the dogs and cats she looked after in house stays on her journey. To summarise, she is friendly, reliable, very responsible ….and just adores dogs and cats!
Giulia looked after my special needs son, who cannot walk or talk, with passion, commitment, energy and great tenderness. She is a kind soul. Giulia loves animals, and in particular dogs, and has much experience already as a pet/ house sitter. She is totally trustworthy, dedicated, a hard worker and also compassionate. She was very sweet with our cat too.

Schedule
I’m primarily available for house-sitting and dog walks at weekends, as I work full-time during the week. Depending on the location, I may also be able to offer midday dog walks during the week, so please feel free to get in touch and I can see what might work. I’d also be happy to consider boarding, although as I live in a flat, this would depend on the size, temperament and individual needs of your pet. I’m always happy to have a chat beforehand to make sure I can provide a comfortable and suitable environment for them.

I live in a flat in the city centre, and although I don’t have a garden, I’m a very outdoorsy person and love getting out for walks. I’m often down by the river exploring the local area, usually with a coffee stop at one of the many lovely cafés along the way — so there’s no shortage of opportunities for walks and adventures! When house-sitting, I’m very happy to follow your usual routines and instructions closely. I know every pet is different, so I’ll take the time to understand their individual needs and make sure they feel comfortable, happy and well cared for while you’re away.
