I do not drink or smoke and live in a smoke-free home. Since I am retired, I have a great deal of free time. My schedule is my own. While I don't currently have a pet, I miss the companionship of having one, so would love to companion your pet. I adore doting on all types of animals.

Animals must be up to date on shots, vaccinations, etc. I'm pretty good at reading the needs of a pet. If they want to cuddle, I'm GREAT at cuddling. If they want to be left alone, I can do that. I'm a very cautious, dependable and trustworthy person. I take and follow orders well....smile. I adore animals of all kinds and love watching and/or being around them.

Ensure that I have all your contact phone number(s), veterinarian contact and emergency contact info. Advise if they nap/sleep inside or outside a crate. If inside a crate, does door remain open or closed. Advise if allowed on bed and/or furniture. Advise if they are on medication and how/when to administer. Advise bedtime and/or your estimated return. Advise if an animal is aggressive to other animals or people, (males or females).
A typical day
Watch and respond to pet needs. Play inside as much as they want or in fenced yard or on-leash or tie-out. Toss balls or toys for fetch or just for their exercise. Cuddle if they ask for cuddles. Feed and/or medicate on prescribed schedule. Short walks only with leash-trained animals

Pet care experience
I do not currently have a pet, but I have been fortunate to have had and loved two amazing dogs in my lifetime. Each was an only pet at the time. Each lived to about the age of 16 and both were rescues. Both dogs traveled with me and moved numerous times with me. I have worked with, and networked in animal rescue and have worked extensively with marine animals, as well. I have some knowledge of training techniques and added to the repertoire of behaviors of each of my pets.

Ginny was really great with my kitty baby and kept him from missing us too much. In addition, She helped with bringing in the mails, deliveries which came unexpectedly and even cleaned the room and washed the bed linen the last day. She also waited till we got home which was after 10pm, just to make sure my kitty baby was not left alone by himself. We are really happy to have Ginny caring for our baby and house sit while we were gone for 19 days. We will definitely engage Ginny again.
Ginny was absolutely wonderful! She was very attentive and caring with our pups and clearly treated them like her own. We especially appreciated how thoughtful she was with our senior dog, Baxter. She made sure he was comfortable and well cared for the entire time. And kept us updated throughout the whole time! Ginny stayed with the dogs the whole time, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It was clear the boys were in great hands. On top of that, she left our home spotless upon departure, which we truly appreciated. We would happily recommend Ginny to anyone looking for a reliable, compassionate pup sitter!
I’m grateful to have found Ginny to come into my home and take care of my dog. She was attentive and kind. She sent me pictures all day every day and kept me informed on how my dog was doing. I felt so at ease being away from my dog for the first time. I came home to a spotless house! I will book her again in the future. Thank so very much, Ginny!!!
Ginny was wonderful to work with. Attentive to all details. My two finicky chihuahuas loved her. She was very responsible and communicative. I felt very relaxed for the week they were in her care. I highly recommend her.
