Animal Health Technologist
My first experience with animals was when I was a child. We bred and sold pure bred poodles. They were adorable. We ourselves had three generations living with us and they all slept with me out of the whole family. I was hocked on animals after that. Then one day I decided to become an AHT, Animal Health Technologist and I took the course at Olds College in Alberta. I graduated and stayed friends with my Vet instructors and worked with them for several years with large animals. During that time I was in a relationship with the gentleman that was working at the sheep barn at the college and he had his own sheep/goat farm that we were taking care of. I was there for 4 years. Between the two places we were taking care of over 2000 sheep when babies arrived. It kept me very busy. Since then I have offered to take care of animals in their homes when the owners went away for holidays and that was just friends and co-workers. I also have had several pets in my life time of many years.

Ginette was the best buddy for my pup while I was away for a week! Every day I heard about how my dog had been that day and the activities that she enjoyed! So it was more than just getting cute pictures! It was reports about what she had done and how happy she was. Ginette was faithful to touching base with me, which made my time away worry free. I was most nervous about how my dog would do at night, but Ginette became her safe place; space to relax and rest! Ginette really listens to the details and special things I asked her to offer my dog. I feel Ginette is a very kind, intuitive care giver and I highly recommend her. Ginette has a special way with my dog and they became very good friends. My little pup truly enjoyed her time with Ginette! A whole week worry free!! Thank you Ginette!!!

Schedule
I am retired and I live alone with my buddy Geri. I don’t go very far these days. I hang around home working on a project that I started in January.

Safety, trust & environment
I live on the bottom floor of an apartment building because I had my dog Ginger. I am not presently fenced but if I get accepted I will have no issues going out and getting a fence suitable for dogs. Where I live there is beautiful walking places in the summer with lots of trails around me. I live kitty corner of the Bower Pond. I could really use the exercise of walking dogs now that I am retired.
Pets
A typical day
Mostly give them massive amount of love. I live right next door to Bower Pond so good walks are available. If the pet enjoys kids I am the Grandma of the community kids that come over to visit and love giving TLC to the pets. If they have toys to play with or love to fetch no problem. But like I said lots one lots of love and snuggles.
