I work hybrid, primarily, so there's ample flexibility in my schedule to match up with your needs. I occasionally bartend, short, evening shifts, for a non-profit theater. As of winter 2023/2024, I work 4-6 hours/day, with a local company (I get to choose my shifts). All these little pieces can be moved around, to make a schedule that fits your pet's care needs. :) Primary Service Areas: Gig Harbor, Fox Island, West Tacoma, North Tacoma/Stadium District, Ruston, Central Tacoma, Fircrest, Steilacoom, North University Place Secondary Service Areas: Golden Given Rd, Waller Rd, Parkland (near PLU only), Olalla, Port Orchard -Out-of-area costs will apply for secondary areas. -Be aware that there are certain neighborhoods that will be excluded, in Tacoma, as a personal safety choice. Note: Gig Harbor/KP bookings will result in an added $6/night, to help soften costs for fuel and toll.

Your Place: I'm tidy and conscientious. It's my pleasure to adapt my schedule to your pet's needs. I'm happy to care for multiple pets, in your home (or yard... need help with goats or chickens? Yay! I'm your gal.). Please expect a potty schedule of every 4-6 hours. I'm tidy, bring most of my own groceries (I appreciate it if you provide coffee, tea, cream, sugar, salt, pepper and cooking oil), and love to bring healthy treats, and toys, for your pets. My Place: I live alone, in a 1 bedroom place, that I own. I have a few construction projects going, so it's not currently available for boarding, but I hope to have that service in the future. At my place, there's ample room for a small dog, cat, bunny or bird. A dog will be walked 3-5 times/day, depending on their needs. There are dog and cat treats, dog toys, cat toys, and a scratching post, here.
Information Gina S. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your dog (or cat, or guinea pig, or chickens), have any special accommodations. I'm great with all well-socialized dogs, big or small, having grown up with German Shorthairs, Lhasa Apsos, and had a loved St. Bernard next door. I've had my own Cairn Terrier, Lab and Lhasa Apso (plus cats, chickens, fish, and a parakeet). One of my favorite pups to house-sit for is a blue Pittie, who is a big lump of love! My preference is to be with dogs who like people and other dogs, though I'm gentle, empathetic, calm, accepting and loving with pets who have health or anxiety issues... just no aggressive canines, please. With big dogs, if they leash pull, note that my size will prohibit me from taking them on un-fenced walks. Animals with extensive medical needs, including complex medication schedules, may be subject to added costs. I'm happy to work out terms with you.
A typical day
First, my family lives in the area. They all have dogs. In particular, my folks live on 4 acres, in Gig Harbor. Visiting there, with pups, is a treat! We walk in the woods, play with other dogs, and let my Ma and Dad snuggle them. If your dogs are good with dogs, I'm happy to walk them. For an added cost, I can take them to a fantastic sniff spot in the Gig Harbor area. It's one of my favorites. Just let me know. Second, I LOVE the beach and the forest, so it's a delight to share them with canine companions. Some of my favorite walks are Pt. Defiance, Narrows Beach Park, Ruston Way, Sehmel Park, Thea Foss Waterway, a few select Sniff Spots, and China Lake Park. As far as off-leash parks, Wapato, Pt. Defiance, Swan Creek, Ft. Steilacoom, and McCormick Woods rank high! Chucking a ball, throwing a frisbee or "find the best stick" are all delightful pastimes with doggie buddies.

Pet care experience
I grew up caring for small dogs, large dogs, chickens, cats, rabbits, Guinea pigs… we lived on 4 acres, surrounded by other family members in the neighborhood, and I love all of the animals! I'll take 'em cute, crotchety, pudgy, feathered, or furred. :) I have regularly cared for pets of family, friends and business connections, in their home, or mine. Currently, I have no pets (my 2 elderly cats crossed the rainbow bridge, within the last year, due to age-related illnesses), so I would adore spending time with yours! I've seen my own pets through old age, and the related medical needs that come with that, so administering medications (oral, subdermal, dermal) doesn't phase me. Note that extensive medication schedules may result in added costs.

Reviews

Gina was wonderful and so accommodating. Will be rebooking her next time if she is free. Definitely goes above and beyond and I felt so comfortable leaving my girl with her while I was away for a week trip out of the country!
Gina was an awesome dog sitter for our sweet little Pepper. Pepper warmed up to her immediately and may to of even missed us, which is a good thing. Pepper requires medications multiple times per day and Gina was more than happy to accommodate her schedule to make sure Pepper was medicated. Gina is very competent and comfortable with managing meds. I know our dog had the best of care and I felt safe leaving her with Gina. We will definitely book Gina again. Thanks

Gina was wonderfully attentive and communicative regarding the care of our pups and home. This was my first time using a pet sitter service and her attention to detail, clear communication and transparency really made me feel comfortable leaving my pups and home in her care. I definitely appreciate that she did some light chores and left the house cleaner than we left it!
Gina is an amazing caregiver for my fur babies. I have a sensitive reactive pitbully that has trauma as a puppy and so going anywhere is stressful. There are not a lot of options or people I know that I feel comfortable leaving my Violet(pitbully) with, yet she loved Gina right away. She also watched over my beloved cat and my home. She made my place feel enjoyable to return after a weekend getaway. She even sent me pictures so I felt so happy when I was away knowing they were happy and comfortable too. 10/10 Would recommend Gina!!
