Hello, I’m Gina. Before starting with Rover I house/hobby farm sat for weekends to extended stays. I have experienced many different types of “lap animals”, Lol. I have been a groomer of cats and dogs of all sizes and ages for 18+ years. In high school I worked at my local veterinary clinic as a kennel attendant and Veterinarian’s Assistant. Many years later I returned there as a groomer and also helped with behavioral and training concerns. I have worked for two different doggy daycare and boarding facilities, one in Minnesota and one in West Virginia. Both places were known for doggy group play. I have watched over the rough, rugged, “better watch out or you’ll be taken out at the knees”, to the dainty, “that butterfly is super scary“ personalities. I have experience with rescue animals, very young puppies and kittens to the mature fur-babe that may have issues with mobility, sight, hearing, incontinence, daily injections, oral medication needs, etc. I believe it is important for all animals to have a balance between mental and physical energy release every day. Throughout the years as a cat owner and groomer I’ve had the opportunity to learn about their spoken and unspoken language and how they express their wants and desires through their behaviors and unique sounds. My husband and I currently have four cats sharing our home and life. Ranging from 7 lbs to 17 lbs. Shorthair and longhair. Some dog breeds I have worked with are; Mastiff, Great Dane, Irish Wolfhound, Bernese Mountain Dog, Rhodesian Ridge Back, German Shepherd, Greyhound, Golden Retriever, Labrador, Setters, Bulldogs, all sizes of Poodles, many different breeds of Spaniels and Terriers, Shih Tzu, Dachshunds, Italian Greyhound, Pug, Pomeranian, Papillon, from 3lbs. to 197lbs. my dog list gos on and on.
