I am free most Saturdays and Sundays as those are my weekends off from work. I also work from home on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so I have time to check on your animals or house sit.

I am happy to work on potty training with animals that are still learning as well as crating a dog if you would like them to be crated. I am comfortable with keeping areas of the house off limits to the animals if that is the setup that you have. I am also comfortable with locking up the house after I leave or take the dog for a walk. Also, I love playing with animals or cuddling on the couch. Whatever the animal/or pet parent prefers.

A typical day
We can hang out on the couch and go for a leisurely walk. I can also play enrichment games, go to the dog park, go hang out at a park without any other dogs. I am happy to fit the schedule to the pet's needs.

Pet care experience
I started in animal care as a cat care volunteer at a no-kill shelter in Philadelphia. I moved to Sacramento and worked as an Adoption Counselor at a shelter. In this position I assisted animal care staff with cleaning kennels, administering medications and vaccines, feeding animals, bathing animals, walking dogs, etc. I also have animal behavior knowledge and enjoy working with fearful, shy dogs and cats. I have fostered dogs that were too fearful to be placed up for adoption in a stressful shelter environment and semi-feral kittens to the point that they were adopted by loving families. I have 2 dogs, 2 cats, and a bearded dragon. One of my dogs and both cats are seniors, so I am comfortable with the specialized care that can come with owning a senior animal.
