I work from home, so your pet will have plenty of company and won’t be left alone. I’m always happy to arrange a meet and greet beforehand to get to know your dog, discuss their needs and routine, and make sure their stay feels as normal and comfortable as possible.

I have a fully fenced garden so your dog can go outside safely whenever they need. I’ve cared for a wide range of dogs of different ages, sizes, and needs, and I’m always as flexible as possible to make sure every pup is comfortable and well looked after. Dogs in our home are welcome on the furniture and even the bed, but I’m happy to follow whatever routine or rules your dog is used to. We have our own dog, Blu, a small Chihuahua mix. She can be a little vocal when she first meets new humans (a bit of small dog syndrome!)—but she settles quickly. She’s very friendly and loves welcoming other dogs into her pack. She especially enjoys going for walks together and having a good run around.

Information Gina D. would like to know about your pet
I have cared for a couple of dogs now that have had medical needs. This has included ensuring they can safely go out into the garden for toilet breaks, administering their medication as needed (though I don't have formal training in this), and provided safe playtime. Additionally, I've cared for my own dog during the end of her life and am confident in seeking medical support when I notice signs of distress in animals. I also have home boarding insurance in place, so your pet is fully covered while they stay with me.
A typical day
I love to provide a balanced day for my doggies, this includes a good walk and play throughout the day but then lots of cuddles and chill time to show them they are loved! For safety, we very rarely let dogs off the lead, especially when we are first getting to know them. If your dog needs a good run, we have a local fenced dog area that allows them to exercise safely. We would always discuss this with you beforehand to understand your dog’s recall and make sure you’re comfortable with the plan.

Pet care experience
I’ve had a dog in my family since I was around 13, and from that point on I completely fell in love with animals. I now have a dog of my own and also help care for my parents’ dog whenever needed. We started caring for dogs through Rover in July 2023 and haven’t looked back since! We love welcoming new pups into our home, giving them a safe and loving environment, and getting to know all their unique personalities along the way. 🐾

Kobbie had a lovely stay with Gina and her dog. Gina kept me updated throughout his stay and sent plenty of pictures. Kobbie has stayed with Gina before and settled straight back in 😊

Honey is a nervous dog that needs to be close to her humans and Gina provided the perfect surrogate mummy with lots of walks and cuddles. Thank you Gina

Gina makes my dog feel so at home that he walks me back to her door!!

Bunny came back knackered and very content. Gina is professional and provided a very good service.
