Safety, trust & environment

I provide a safe, calm, and loving environment for every pet in my care. I live in a spacious townhome on a quiet dead-end street. Perfect for peaceful walks. I'm also close to a lake with beautiful walking paths for longer, relaxing outings. I'm available for in-home stays and house sitting, and since I live alone with no pets or children, I'm able to give each dog my full attention and care. Your pet's safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities.

Information Gillian P. would like to know about your pet

Before caring for your pet, it’s important for me to know as much as possible about them so I can provide the safest and most comfortable experience. Please share details about their temperament, energy level, and any behavioral quirks (for example, leash pulling, anxiety, reactivity to other dogs, or fear of loud noises). Let me know about any medical conditions, allergies, medications, or past injuries. It’s also helpful to understand their daily routine — feeding schedule, preferred walk times, favorite toys, and sleeping habits. If your dog will be joining me for long walks along the lake, I’d especially like to know how they do around water, wildlife, cyclists, and other dogs. The more I know ahead of time, the better I can tailor care to keep your pet happy, safe, and stress-free.

A typical day

A typical day starts with a warm greeting and a quick check-in to make sure your pup is happy and ready for the day. Mornings usually include a long, energizing walk tailored to your dog’s pace and personality — whether that’s a brisk power walk or a relaxed sniff-and-explore adventure. Throughout the day, we mix in playtime and plenty of affection. This can include fetch, tug-of-war, puzzle toys, basic reinforcement of good manners, or simply relaxing companionship if your dog prefers a calmer vibe. I always make sure they have fresh water, regular potty breaks, and lots of positive interaction. If I’m sitting for the full day, we’ll enjoy another long walk or outdoor adventure later on to burn off energy and keep tails wagging. In between activities, there’s downtime for rest and cuddles — because a balanced day of exercise, mental stimulation, and comfort makes for a happy, well-cared-for dog. You’ll also receive updates so you can feel confident and connected while you’re away. My goal is to provide a balanced day filled with exercise, mental stimulation, and loving attention — so your dog comes home happy, calm, and content. You’ll also receive regular updates, so you can feel confident knowing your pup is in great hands.

Pet care experience

I've been a devoted dog mom on and off since 1998 and truly love caring for and walking our furry companions. While I'm currently taking a short break from having my own pup, my love for animals hasn't changed. I live alone and genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs, and I'm excited to support other pet parents through reliable pet sitting and attentive dog walking. Every pet I care for is treated like family.

Gillian was an excellent pet/ house sitter for our 2 dogs! She was on time and communicated at least once a day with pictures during our trip. Our dogs loved being with her and they were calm when we got home and took great care of our house. Gillian walked our kids at least 2x a day in the neighborhood with care. She was very meticulous about following our instructions and guidelines for the dogs. Our home was very neat and tidy when we got home! We are hoping to have her sit for us again soon.

Gillian has been absolutely incredible caring for our two French bulldogs. They both need a lot of attention and can be anxious, and she handled them with such patience, love, and care. It’s clear how much they adore her — they’re always excited to see her, which says everything. She’s incredibly responsible, trustworthy, and truly goes above and beyond. We have complete peace of mind when she’s with them, and I couldn’t recommend her more highly to anyone looking for exceptional pet care.
