Before caring for any pet, I like to learn as much as I can to make sure I can provide the best experience possible. It’s helpful to know: • Daily routine: Feeding schedule, walk times, and any special rituals they’re used to • Temperament: Are they shy, energetic, anxious, or reactive around other animals or people? • Medical needs: Any medications, allergies, or health conditions I should be aware of • Training & commands: What commands they know and how you typically give them • Triggers or fears: Loud noises, separation anxiety, other pets, etc. • Emergency contact info: Including your vet’s contact and your preferred way of staying updated

It really depends on each pet’s personality and energy level, but I love making sure they stay active, engaged, and happy! For dogs, that might mean going on walks, playing fetch, working on simple tricks, or having some good old tug-of-war. If they enjoy being social, I can take them to pet-friendly parks or on outdoor adventures (with your permission, of course). For cats, I like to keep things playful and enriching—using toys, laser pointers, or feather wands to encourage movement and curiosity. I also know some cats just love quiet cuddle time or sitting by the window while I keep them company. Whatever your pet enjoys most—high-energy play or cozy relaxation—I’ll tailor activities to fit their needs and make sure they feel loved and stimulated while you’re away.
