Safety, trust & environment
First and foremost: I prioritize comfort, safety, and routine. I follow each pet’s usual schedule as closely as possible—including feeding times, potty breaks, walks, medications, and playtime. I give plenty of attention, affection, and enrichment based on each animal’s personality and needs. Shy cat? I give them space, time, and gentle encouragement. High-energy pup? We’ll get those zoomies out safely! Additionally, as an aspiring microbiologist (and as a student who did a presentation on Parvo), I believe prevention is key. Any puppy will be carefully looked after outdoors and proper sanitzation methods will be met. I would prefer to keep young puppies in your household, and have playtime in a backyard if possible. I would limit walks to around the household area. In your home, I treat your space with the utmost respect and always leave things as clean—or cleaner—than I found them. I will send regular photo updates so you can relax, knowing your pet is in good hands.

A typical day
Pet enrichment is always important, especially for high energy animals. I'd want to make sure your pets mind is stimulated with fun activities like treat puzzles, new smells, and chewing toys. Whatever physical activity your dog enjoys the most (walking, tugging, fetch) is what I'd try to do the most for them, as every pet is different.

Your Pet Will Tell You About Me!
Pet care experience
With a Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science, four pets of my own, and previous work experience in a doggy daycare/ boarding service, I believe I have the necessary experience and skills needed for proper animal husbandry for your pets. I grew up with dogs throughout my whole life, and growing up with them meant I learned something new every day. Even now, I make sure to research and ask vets what would be the best ways to improve the quality of life for my animals, and make sure I'm up to standards with husbandry. Working in the dog daycare field gave me a proper introduction into the petsitting business as I would follow owner instructions for feeding, bedding, enrichment, and oral medications. *PLEASE NOTE*: I have not yet had proper experience administering injections to dogs and cats (only livestock via university lab work), so for your pets safety as a new sitter I will not be offering a service for medication via injection. I have learned how to do hands-on CPR for deep-chested dogs. I am knowledgeable on CPR for smaller dogs and cats. Pets at Home: 1 American Akita, 1 Shiba Inu, 1 orange cat, 1 crested gecko. As long as proper care instructions are given, I'd love to take care of any variety of pets, including low-difficulty reptiles (ie. geckos)! If you have such a reptile in your household, message me if you're interested in petsitting for them as well!

Excellent care!! Would definitely use again!

The dogs stayed alive were fed and happy Gianna came on time, followed instructions, and took care of some unfortunate accidents without question. Would rebook!

The dogs were very happy with Giana and she was a great communicator.

Giana was great. She took great care of our dog and our house while we were away. This was our first time using Rover and we got very lucky starting with Giana. She has set the bar very high. She did everything we ask to keep our dog on her regular routine. We can highly recommend her and will be using her again in the future.
