My husband and I both work from home, which means your pet gets constant supervision, companionship, and engagement — ideal for puppies needing routine, senior dogs who require extra care, and pets who don’t do well being left alone. There are no children in the home, just experienced adults who speak fluent “animal.”

Our home is set up specifically for gentle, low-stress pet sitting, tucked away on a quiet 100-acre forest property (freija.ca). It’s perfect for dogs who love sniffing adventures, cats who enjoy calm observation posts, and pets who thrive in a peaceful environment. No crates by default, no overcrowding, and absolutely no chaos. If you’re looking for reliable, experienced, in-home pet boarding where your pet is treated like family (and maybe a little spoiled), you’ve found it. Your pet brings the personality — we’ve already got the love, patience, and forest vibes covered.

To make sure your pet feels safe, happy, and right at home, I like to learn a bit about who they are and how they live. Helpful things to share include: Daily Routine Feeding schedule, portions, and any special food instructions Potty routine or litter box preferences Sleep habits (crate, bed, couch privilege — no judgment) Personality & Preferences Energy level (professional napper vs. zoomie champion) Favorite toys, games, or enrichment activities What helps them relax when they’re stressed Anything they really dislike (vacuum = enemy, noted) Health & Care Age, breed, and any medical conditions Medications, supplements, or mobility needs Allergies or dietary sensitivities Senior care needs or puppy training routines Social Stuff How they feel about other dogs, cats, and new people Any triggers, fears, or boundaries we should respect Previous boarding or pet-sitting experience Training & House Rules Commands they know (or pretend not to know) Leash manners and recall level Any rules you’d like us to follow at home Emergency Info Your vet’s contact information An emergency contact just in case Anything else that would help us care for them confidently The more I know, the better I can tailor your pet’s stay — whether they’re a social butterfly, a shy forest observer, or a dignified senior who prefers quiet companionship.

Every day starts with your pet’s routine, not a one-size-fits-all schedule. Breakfast is served exactly as requested (yes, even the “three kibbles warmed slightly and presented with love” instructions), followed by morning check-ins, potty breaks, gentle walks, or quiet cuddle time. Because we provide in-home pet boarding and pet sitting, your pet spends the day in a calm, home-style environment — not a kennel and never overcrowded. Dogs enjoy supervised outdoor time, sniffari walks, play sessions, and enrichment. Cats lounge, explore, and nap strategically in sunbeams. Puppies get structure and positive reinforcement, while senior pets receive extra comfort, monitoring, and patience. Since my husband and I both work from home, your pet always has human companionship, supervision, and interaction throughout the day. Whether your pet wants playtime, training refreshers, brushing, or simply to exist near a human for emotional support, someone is always around. Midday includes enrichment activities, one-on-one attention, medication support if needed, and plenty of rest breaks. Introductions with our resident adventure cat, Honey, or other guest pets are slow, supervised, and tailored to each animal’s comfort level. Evenings are relaxed and cozy — dinner, another round of walks or play, and lots of wind-down time in a quiet, low-stress home environment. By bedtime, your pet has had exercise, mental stimulation, companionship, and space to feel safe and settled. Basically, it’s a normal, happy day — just with extra attention, forest vibes, and people who genuinely love animals.

Butique retreat in 100-acre forest
Doświadczenie w opiece nad zwierzętami
Think of this as a boutique, in-home pet boarding retreat — not a kennel. With 30+ years of hands-on experience raising, hosting, and loving just about every creature imaginable — cats, dogs, fowl, rabbits, rodents, and even tortoises (yes, really) — your pet will be in wildly capable hands. Puppies who need gentle training? Seniors who need extra patience and TLC? Shy pets, quirky pets, “my pet is kind of weird” pets? I’ve met them all and adore them deeply. Our home is designed for calm, gentle pet care, nestled on a peaceful 100-acre forest property (freija.ca), which means plenty of fresh air, enrichment, and stress-free vibes. No kids, no chaos — just a quiet, loving environment where animals can actually relax. My husband and I both work from home, so your pet is never left wondering where the humans went. Someone is always around for companionship, playtime, belly rubs, or just existing together (a highly underrated skill). And then there’s Honey, our resident adventure cat and official Welcome Committee. He absolutely loves meeting visiting pets and brings big “friendly camp counsellor” energy to every introduction. If you’re looking for a sitter who treats your pet like family, understands animals on a deep level, and can handle everything from puppy zoomies to senior snoozes — you just found your place. 🐾💚
