Nurturing and loving dog aunt!
I only board one dog at a time so your dog will get undivided love and attention. From being terrified as a child to now falling in love with every dog - it’s been a journey. I am big on recognizing that dogs are complex beings and have complex needs. With that in mind, I think of them as more than cuddle buddies. While I’ll never say no to dog love, I also understand that they need space and room to just be. I’ve dog sat in my neighborhood and I prioritize their meals, walks, and need for activity and interaction. I have also fostered dogs and understand that dogs come from a variety of different past experiences and require environments that fit their needs - I am very flexible in accommodating that.

Casper had a wonderful time with Ghazal! She cared for him as if he were her own, giving him so much love, attention, and comfort throughout his stay. Ghazal is super responsive, gives a lot of attention to my dog, and provides the right care to her. She sent a lot of photos and I can definitely see that my dog is spending a great time with her! I will highly recommend her and rebook again :)
Ghazal is a really thoughtful and considerate pet caregiver. She’s very in tuned with the pet that she’s been around and ensure that they get their space and time to adjust while also consistently loving them to remind them that they’re in a safe space.

Planning
I currently work from home so there is plenty of flexibility in my schedule. I like to understand the pet's routine and do my best to minimize disruptions - that means helping them adhere to their walk, food, and rest times. I love playing with dogs so I prioritize that time.

My home is well maintained and clean, pets will have full access to the large open concept living room & kitchen - this is where I spend majority of my waking hours as well. No other pets and no kids in the house so your dog will have a lot of quiet, peaceful time. I live in a very dog friendly neighborhood with lots of green spaces. Lots of opportunities to go on nice walks and socialize with other dogs. I think of dog walks as "their time" so they get ample time to explore and sniff.

Physical activities would includes playing fetch, tug, going on long & explorative walks - letting the dog sniff everything without rushing them! I have a set of dog toys that any dog is welcome to play with. I also like to give them mental stimulation with simple tricks like hiding treats in a blanket and having them figure it out.
