Highlights
Pet care experience
Pet loving Princeton grad student
I absolutely love all kinds of dogs and cats! I have pet sat for family friends over the years, and my college roommate often boarded Rover pets. I love spending time with all kinds of animals, but dogs have a special place in my heart. My claim to fame is that I taught my roommates dog all of her tricks in college! Excited to get to know dogs and cats in the area!

Ratings and reviews
Germaine did a great job taking care of our dog, Bean, and kept us updated with lots of photos. She was also very respectful of our home and left everything clean. We would definitely recommend her!
Germaine was great. Cassie even slept with her and Germaine gave her lots of attention. I like the photos that she sent, which given me peace of mind. I would use her again.

Germaine did a wonderful job caring for our dog while we were away for the holidays! A nice person and great communicator, Germaine sent lots of pictures and updates -- you can tell she really loves dogs :) will definitely be booking again!

Germaine helped me watch dogs multiple times in college and is fantastic. She loves all animals and will be sure to take the best care of them!
I highly recommend Germaine as a dog walker and pet caregiver. She is a true dog lover and has often cared for our two dogs - a dachshund/pug mix and a yellow lab - and they absolutely adore her. Germaine is energetic, dependable, and honest, and she treats pets as if they are her own. She is attentive to their needs, respectful of routines, and provides the kind of loving, safe care that gives pet parents real peace of mind. Just as important, she is friendly, reliable, and communicates clearly, making her a pleasure to work with.
Calendar and availability
Schedule
I am a graduate student (post-qualifying exams) so I have a lot of flexibility as I build my schedule. I often work from home, and my partner is currently working from home. I work 10 min away from my apartment so it’s easy for me to get to and from campus for pets requiring more frequent breaks. I am happy to take a lunch break to walk dogs or spend a long weekend petting sitting animals. I typically spend 2-3 days in the lab and the reminder of the week asynchronously. I am up early to get to the gym, and could seamlessly incorporate dog walking in my schedule. I am usually home by 4:30 most days, and my only unavailabilities are Monday night (pottery class) and occasionally Thursday afternoon (standing work meetings).
Where your pet will stay
Safety, trust & environment
I pride my self on my ability to read a pet’s body language. I am always looking out for sign of pets comfort level especially when boarding them for the first time. My home has been puppy proofed in the event that a young dog stays with us. I prefer to stick with small to medium size dogs as I feel we have adequate amount of space for such a pet. I also live near a few trails and have plenty of outdoor space surrounding my building to go on long walks. I live with my partner in a two bedroom which would provide cats or dogs a smaller space to acclimate at first. I love playing with and training pets. I am happy to accommodate pet owners who would like to maintain continuity in training and rules especially for younger pets.
A typical day
I would to take them on a long walk along the canal path or one of the many parks in the area. I also love to play with toys or work on commands/training. I am also happy to work on socialize dogs and walking around downtown Princeton.
