Caring dog lover!
Hi! I’m Germaine, a lifelong dog lover with years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all ages and personalities. Growing up in Australia, dogs were always a huge part of my life. I helped care for my family’s two dogs and also grew up with three terriers, so feeding, walking, grooming, playtime and all the day-to-day care that comes with owning dogs has always felt second nature to me. For the past two years, I’ve been dog sitting through Rover and have cared for a variety of small and medium-sized breeds. I love getting to know each dog’s unique personality and tailoring my care to help them feel comfortable, safe and happy during their stay. My partner, James, shares my love of dogs and helps care for every dog that stays with us, so they’ll always have two caring people giving them attention, company and lots of affection. We recently brought home a puppy named Ozzy who we absolutely love and adore. We only take on a small number of bookings at a time, which allows us to give each dog plenty of individual attention and ensure they receive the care, companionship and consistency they deserve. As a primary school teacher, I’m patient, reliable, organised and experienced in building trust and routines. I know how important it is to have peace of mind when leaving your dog in someone else’s care, so I always provide regular updates, photos, and plenty of reassurance.

We couldn’t have asked for better care for Frankie. He was so happy, relaxed, and clearly well looked after during his stay. Such lovely, caring people who treated him like one of their own. We had complete peace of mind and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy dog sitter.
It was Lupins first time staying with Germaine and James and i am so grateful for how much time and effort they spent wanting to understand Lupin’s routine and quirks. I felt 100% comfortable leaving him with them, I just knew he was in safe hands. We received loads of updates and photos and it looked like Lupin had a great time, was given loads of cuddles and was well looked after. I will not hesitate to book again!!

Honestly couldn’t recommend Germaine more! From the get go, she provided clear communication and suggested a pre-meet up so that my dog and her could meet and also allowed us as owners to ask any questions we needed. Throughout our dogs stay she regularly updated us, and even helped administer medication that our dog needed, without any fuss or hesitation. We will definitely use her as a sitter again!
Germaine is always very attentive and clearly enjoys the company of our little dog. Sends lots of updates and is a pleasure to deal with. Thank you.

Schedule
I work as a primary school teacher on Mon-Thurs and have Fridays off. I have greater availability during school holidays, which I hope works perfectly for those needing someone to care for their pet while families are also on break, attending weekend events or heading off on holiday. My partner James helps me dog sit and he may be free to care for your dog during the week if needed, as he works from home Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Please check my calendar as I am consistently updating my availability. For peace of mind, I only take one dog at a time for doggy day care and boarding.

Safety, trust & environment
I have access to a spacious park and canal with fun walking routes near my flat, so your dog will get plenty of regular walks and outdoor time! My partner, James, and I will both be there to care for your pet, so you can feel confident knowing they’ll have double the love and attention. We’re warm and responsible, and we’ll do everything we can to make sure your dog feels safe, happy, and comfortable with us. There’s also a convenient grass area just outside the flat for toilet breaks and I have experience with crates. Your dog’s safety is my top priority.

James and I are super active people so I’ll make sure your dog gets everything they need like lots of fun games to keep them entertained and regular walks around the area! Of course, there’ll be plenty of cuddles, playtime and attention!

- It would be super helpful to find out about your pet's daily schedule and routine so I can keep things consistent and help your dog feel settled and comfortable whilst they are in my care. Knowing their feeding, toilet, and walking/exercise routines, as well as how they are on the lead and around other dogs, will also help me care for them better. If there are any special needs or important details I should be aware of, please let me know in advance. Plus, I’d love to hear about any commands they already know so we can have some fun and keep up with their training!
