As a pet owner myself, I understand that your dog or cat is one of the most important things in your life and I will treat them as such! I will respect all of your requests to care for your dogs or cats, even the most unconventional. My personal philosophy is to always leave spaces better than how you found them, so I am also happy to help you with minor house chores during my house stay, such as vacuuming the floor, taking out the trash, and wiping down surfaces. When walking dogs, my #1 priority is SAFETY!!! If you book a dog walking session(s) with me, you can be assured that I will be vigilant during the walk with your dog(s) for other dogs, cars, and passerby. I NEVER use my phone during walks for texting, calling, browsing, or listening to music while walking (apart from sending you your requested photos and occasionally navigating on Google Maps). Interaction with other dogs will be kept to a minimum to protect your dog's safety (unless otherwise requested). During the warmer months, I also will always make sure their water bowl is filled when returning to the house. Research shows that sniffing surroundings during walks provides mental stimulation to dogs and increases cognitive function. I am very patient with dogs who enjoy exploring their surroundings through sniffing on walks (the walks are for them, not me!), however I am ALWAYS monitoring them to make sure that they do not eat any foreign food or scraps that will make them sick.

Before booking with me, please also respect my wellbeing and limitations by informing me of the following: - If your dog has a history of human aggression, or has bitten anyone in the past (I am not a professional dog trainer, and I do not have the capacity to correct aggression to humans) - If your dog is up-to-date on all relevant vaccinations - If your dog does well with other dogs, and how they react to other dogs on walks - If your dog has special accommodations or needs extra care - What the security set up of your home is, and where you will be leaving me the key - Any other relevant information I need to know about living in your home It is also great to have a written log of what we discuss to care for your pets, either in a text message or written letter.
A typical day
My rates reflect my attention, care, and dedication to the animals under my care and keeping your house secure and tidy. If booked to do a homestay for you, I enjoy taking dogs for frequent walks, and can take them for walks 3-4 times a day. For their first and last walks for the day, I always make sure to walk the dogs for at least 45 minutes to an hour to give them proper exercise and let them go to the bathroom. Please let me know if you have any dog parks of preference near your home, and I am happy to bring them there as well.

Pet care experience
I am an avid animal lover and have grown up caring for cats, dogs, rodents, and fish. I grew up with 6 cats (3 of which I raised since birth) at home and am well-equipped to adapt to all needs and accommodations for your pet. I had a goldfish live to 15 years old and have a pretty good green thumb - so you know I am good at nurturing and keeping pets healthy and happy!
Reviews

Georgia took very good care of our two dogs which gave us peace of mind to enjoy our vacation. She sent pics and updates about them which was great!

Georgia helped me out of a bind last minute on a holiday weekend, after my planned sitter had to cancel. She took great care of my 2 cats, with timely arrivals and photos provided every visit! Thank you so much Georgia!

Georgia was a wonderful drop-in sitter for my cats! I will absolutely be using her as a regular cat sitter moving forward 😀

Georgia was wonderful with my 5 month old Cavapoo! She was really flexible, on time, and communicative.
