Safety, trust & environment
I am amenable to any specific care instructions from owners, whether it be keeping a pup crated for a specific amount of time or going through training. NOTE: I no longer take same-day appointments and new clients must participate in a meet and greet with me before the booking. Recently, I booked a last minute dog walk without a meet and greet. The dog was playing tug of war with the leash and wouldn’t let the leash go. When I called the owner, the owner cited that they typically slapped the dog to get them to drop the leash, and the encouraged me to do the same. For my safety and for the dog’s wellbeing, such requests will not be tolerated or followed. Thank you for your consideration and understanding!
Information Genevieve K. would like to know about your pet
If your pet has any favorite toys or treats, that’s always helpful to know! Additionally, if they are reactive to certain things (e.g. loud noises, other dogs/people), that’s also great to know :)
A typical day
I love going for long walks (or jogs) with energetic dogs! It’s lovely to give pets some exercise and allow them to sniff around the neighborhood! I’m a big fan of fetch and tug of war.

Reviews

I arrived home to a very happy Dorrie. Genevieve was communicative and asked thoughtful questions. She also provided me with prompt updates on the status of my kitties . I wasn't surprised that she didnt meet Cinder, as he can be very shy.

Genevieve took care of our dog Miso over the long weekend (house sitting) and did a stellar job. It’s clear she loves animals. She asked thoughtful questions during the meet and greet, and sent lots of photos and videos throughout her stay. She even left flowers and some baked goods for us after we returned. We would definitely rebook her!

We absolutely loved Genevieve, but more importantly, our little pups loved her. Genevieve is a fantastic communicator, clearly loves dogs, and was so respectful of our space, a calming presence for our girls who were wondering who this new person was in their habitat. We would have her come back anytime we weren't able to travel with the pups. My only hesitation in leaving a glowing review is that she won't be available for us because you will all want to book her.

Genevieve was fantastic, I cannot stress it enough. It was our first time using Rover so we were already nervous, but among the constant updates, the videos sent of DOOM, and many questions to clarify, we felt reassured knowing we left DOOM with Genevieve for the vacation. Part of us hopes she stays in the area after school so we have a designated dogsitter! We can't say thanks enough, but we can try! Thanks so much Genevieve!
