This was our first time using Rover. I'll just say that Genevieve set the bar HIGH! We had several days in Kanab and hired her twice for drop-in visits for some long days away from our AirBnB when we had to leave our two fur babies home. We didn't get to meet Genevieve ourselves due to booking last-minute, but felt good about the reviews and her experience working with animals. So we just trusted the process and were not disappointed. Her communication was excellent. She took lots of pictures and updated the app (which sends texts directly to us in real time). Our dogs were still pooped when we returned home after our long days. What a relief to have this service available. You can totally trust Genevieve to care for your pets as she would her own. She even texted me in the evening to make sure we'd gotten home to our pets. I love that! Thank you again, Genevieve!!
Genevieve was great! Very communicative and a warm demeanor. She was not overwhelmed with our four boys who bring a lot of energy. She was open to our notes and details about each of them. We felt she really wanted to get to know them and cared about their well being. We had a wonderful experience.
So thankful for this service. We were able to do day long kanab adventure tours knowing our fur babies were in good hands. Thanks Genevieve!!
Wow! Genevieve could not possibly have been BETTER- for the doggies or bipeds! She was competent, communicative, convivial and fun for everyone. What's more she gave us fabulous tips for town and hiking and the dogs were in LOVE with her from the get go. I felt extremely comfortable leaving my fur babies with her and look forward to doing so for our next trip to Kanab!

Meet the Business Owner I live in beautiful southern Utah with my wonderful husband Ron, who is retired from being a beloved Volunteer Coordinator & Horse Care Giver at Horse Haven at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. We are the proud parents of a tightly-knit family of dogs & cats (formerly also bunnies & a horse), all of whom are super affectionate, funny, intelligent & totally bonded. We are a pack! I was a vet tech at Best Friends for 2.5 years in the Clinic and Surgery, as well as the visiting vet tech for the Rabbit Dept. I was also the vet tech for 2 years at the leading house call practice in NYC. I run my 21-year voice over business from my professional home studio, and 'Ron and Genevieve' perform music weekly at concerts and events and for the thousands of international tourists who come to southern Utah. I have owned & run my pet sitting service since 2007 to care for family's beloved pets in their humans' absence, with a huge heart, giving both animals & their families peace of mind.

A typical day
I love to walk, hike, play and snuggle with my dog pals, and love on and play with my kitty, rabbit, goat and horse friends! Whatever your individual animal needs and likes, I cater to him/her specifically. They have my full, undivided attention. If your dog likes car rides, I love to take my dog pals to Jackson Flats Reservoir here in Kanab - it's a special place to walk and wade.

History I have been a lifelong animal lover and animal welfare advocate, growing up in New York City in a family of animal lovers, being a 'sister' to my kitties and hamsters, and being a neighborhood dog walker from the age of 12. As an adult, I have been a proud and loving mom to rabbits, cats, dogs and a horse. I earned my post-baccalaureate degree in Animal Science/Pre-Veterinary Medicine with a 3.9 GPA. I worked for 5 years as a core volunteer member of Rabbit, Rescue and Rehab, the NYC Chapter of the House Rabbit Society, facilitating adoptions, educating the public on rabbit husbandry, and fostering over 10 medical needs rabbits. I worked as the sole veterinary technician for NYC's top-ranking house call veterinary practice, Village House Call Vet, and helped to build the business with owner and veterinarian, Dr. Carolyn Quagliata, in the first 2 years of its inception and was the pet sitter for many of our clients throughout NYC. I then became the very first intern in the new 4-Month Intern Program at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, the largest domestic animal sanctuary in the country, in Kanab, Utah, followed by earning the position of veterinary technician at the Clinic and visiting vet tech for the Rabbit Department for 2.5 years. I have owned and run Genevieve's Animal Care from 2007 onward to care for family's beloved pets in their humans' absence with a huge heart and peace of mind for all.
