I currently work from home so I can easily handle dog and cat care throughout the day. I do have some commitments outside the home but I’m never gone for an extended amount of time. I will work with you to fit you into my schedule if I have an opening. I appreciate flexibility with scheduling especially if the visits are for cats.

DROP-IN VISITS IN THE CLIENT’S HOME I treat your home with the same level of respect that I treat my own home. I will follow whatever directions we have reviewed and you have entered in the Rover app. It’s important that your pet’s most up to date care instructions are entered in the app. I only feed treats that you have left out for your pets or you have approved from me in advance. I do not allow dogs to socialize with other dogs during walks for their safety and mine. DAYCARE/BOARDING IN MY HOME I have a large 6ft wood fenced in yard. My dogs are never outside unsupervised. All of my dogs are crate trained. All of my pets are up to date on vaccinations and heartworm/flea preventative. My older dog, Eddy, is nervous around strangers and new dogs so he is crated when people come over and kept separate from any new dogs in my house. My three younger dogs, Wilbur, Stevie and Burt love other dogs and are my helpers with socializing foster puppies, kittens and dog visitors. My three cats have grown up around dogs of all sizes and are very dog savvy.

Please let me know in advance of any special needs your cat or dog may have. If you are boarding or doing daycare at my house I need to know if your dog is crate trained. They may be in a crate for nap time, meals, and/or when I leave the house for short periods of time. What’s your pet’s daily routine at home? Do they have any quirks or aggressive tendencies I should know about? The more information I have the better I can take care of your pet(s) and make sure they’re comfortable and happy while you’re away from home. I will provide a detailed checklist prior to any boarding or daycare visits in my home. I do offer nail trims for a small additional fee (if your pet will cooperate). I’m also happy to care for most other pets (except snakes!) for a small additional fee.
A typical day
Dogs visiting my home can play with numerous toys and other activities like a splash pad and agility set in my large backyard. There is a neighborhood park close by that’s got a big open area to explore while your dog is on leash. I also love playing inside and outside with your pets when I do drop-in visits. If you want me to use part of my drop-in time with your dog to take them on a walk just let me know during our meet and greet. All dogs I walk must wear a collar with identification for their safety.

Pet care experience
I’ve had pets as long as I’ve been alive. I currently have 4 dogs and 3 cats. I’m also a regular dog and cat foster Mom for several local animal rescue groups. I primarily foster puppies and kittens. I’m quite comfortable around pets of all sizes, ages and species (except snakes)! I charge one rate for cats unless multiple cats have special needs like medication administration. All my dog drop in visits include a 10-15 minute walk if you would like (this does not apply during visits when the temperature is over 90 degrees). Anything beyond the 15 minute walk will require an additional fee. I charge a small additional fee for any complex medication administration for dogs and/or cats. Injectable medications must be already drawn up in syringes prior to the visit(s) and any pills must be cut up into the correct dosage. I require a meet and greet with you and your pets before providing care to them. I think it’s important that we meet in person to discuss their care and make sure I’m the best fit for you and your pets. ***ADDITIONAL FEE/RATE INFORMATION*** Please note I do charge an additional $25 fee for reservation requests received less than 48 hours before the first visit. Dog daycare on weekends will incur an additional $5/day charge. All cats will be charged a $27/visit charge even if there are also dogs in the home. The Rover app shows $0 for additional cats due to my policy of only charging one rate for all cats in the household. I currently have a 6 mile radius for new clients. Anything beyond that radius may incur an additional fee due to mileage. Please feel free to ask any questions about my policies.***
