Hi, I’m Genaro! I’m a certified veterinary assistant with over 10 years of experience working in animal shelters and animal control. During that time, I worked with both Missouri City Animal Control and BARC (Houston Animal Control), where I cared for dogs and cats of all breeds, sizes, and personalities. I’ve always had a passion for animals and believe in treating them with kindness, patience, and respect — not like those goofy dog catchers you see on TV, haha! Over the years, I’ve handled everything from shy rescues to energetic pups, and I know how to keep pets calm, happy, and safe. I also spent time working at a dog hotel, where I coordinated doggy day camps, walked dogs, and helped administer medicine when needed. These experiences taught me how to read animal behavior, provide comfort, and give every pet the attention they deserve. I may not work in a shelter anymore, but caring for animals will always be a big part of who I am. I’d love the chance to meet your furry friend and make sure they feel right at home while you’re away! 🐶🐾

For walks and drop-ins, I always focus on keeping pets happy, safe, and relaxed. During walks, I go at their pace — whether it’s a quick potty break or a longer adventure to burn off energy. For drop-ins, I make sure they’re fed, get some playtime, and enjoy a little company before I leave. I always take time to learn each pet’s routine and personality, so they feel comfortable and cared for even when their family’s away. Every visit ends with a happy tail and a few extra belly rubs!

Schedule
I work Monday through Friday from 8 to 5, but spending time with animals is still a big part of my day. I’m usually available in the mornings, evenings, and weekends for walks, drop-ins, or just some playtime.
