My journey with animals began on a farm where I spent my early years, surrounded by them. This childhood experience ignited a lifelong passion for pet care. Later, while working for an international children's charity, I encountered countless stray animals in need. This led to a unique opportunity: we founded an animal shelter that not only rescued these animals but also provided a nurturing space for the children we supported to interact with them. This experience honed my skills in caring for animals from diverse backgrounds, often those requiring special attention or rehabilitation. Gena looked after our 11 month old spaniel Freya for 11 nights whilst we were on holiday abroad, and we could not be more thankful and appreciative of Gena's expert care and communication! Myself and my partner were gery nervous at first as we had never left her this long before plus we were leaving the country, but Gena was extremely reassuring and attentive, she took on board all Freya's needs and training and provided us with constant updates (photos and videos) daily of how Freya was settling in and what she was getting up to! It was great when we were able to get internet and seeing all those notifications come through from Gena, it really helped us to relax and not worry! She also took on any suggestions we had to make things a bit easier as we appreciate a spaniel puppy is very hyperactive! We will definitely use Gena again, if she is happy to take Freya again as they seemed to get along so well! Freya was very relaxed and her normal, happy self when we took her home. Gena was absolutely amazing. She kept us with continuous updates - photos, messages and videos. We were thoroughly happy with Apollo staying with her, and Apollo enjoyed his stay too. She made sure she knew everything about Apollo before his stay and took the time to ask what would make Apollo comfortable. So lovely. I would have no hesitation recommending Gena, she is fantastic!

Programa
I have a flexible schedule due to working remotely which allows me to dedicate my full attention to pet care. I'm available 7 days a week, including evenings and weekends, which enables me to accommodate various pet care needs. Whether it's daily walks, overnight stays, or drop-in visits, I can adjust my schedule to ensure your pets receive consistent, high-quality care. This flexibility also means I can offer last-minute bookings or extended care periods when needed.

I'm committed to providing a safe, comfortable environment for pets, whether in their own home or mine. In a pet owner's home, I respect their space and follow all house rules and care instructions meticulously. I ensure doors and gates remain secure, and I'm vigilant about potential hazards. When caring for pets in my home, I've created a pet-friendly space with secure fencing, removed toxic plants, and childproofed to prevent accidents. Please note, while my house is a non-smoking home, there is occasional smoking done in the garden by family members. However, i will ensure your pet is not exposed to this. In both settings, I prioritise: - Regular exercise and playtime - Maintaining the pet's routine - Administering medications if needed - Providing fresh water and food - Cleaning litter boxes or taking dogs out for potty breaks - Sending updates and photos to owners
Un día normal
A typical day starts with a morning walk or playtime to get your pet energised and happy. We'll then enjoy some interactive play sessions with toys and games. Midday, we'll take another walk, perhaps visit my local park, or just relax with some cuddles and grooming. In the afternoon, we'll have more playtime, followed by a calm evening walk to wind down. Throughout the day, I'll ensure your pet gets plenty of love, attention, and treats, making each day enjoyable and enriching.
