Hi, I'm Gemma! I'm 40 and a lifelong dog lover. I've grown up with dogs and have regularly looked after friends' dogs over the years, so I'm now excited to offer a home-from-home service to other dog owners. I have a lovely Labrador called Ginny, who is almost 10 years old. She's extremely friendly, calm and absolutely loves meeting other dogs. She's very well trained, non-aggressive and easy-going...although she's a also a typical lab who's definitely easily won over with a bit of food and attention! I live with my partner, Joe, in a comfortable, dog-friendly home where visiting dogs can relax and feel part of the family. Dogs are welcome on the sofa and will sleep downstairs, so they can settle into a familiar and relaxed routine. We have a fully secure back garden and we're in a fantastic location for dog walks. There's an open field and woodland area directly opposite our home, with beaches and a canal also within walking distance as well as plenty of other wooded areas to explore. I also have a secure car suitable for transporting dogs, so I'm happy to take dogs out for walks or adventures further afield when appropriate. I'm happy to care for dogs of all breeds, sizes and ages, provided they are house-trained and not destructive or prone to chewing. I only take a maximum of two visiting dogs at a time, so I can give each dog plenty of individual attention and make sure they feel comfortable and settled. I'm at home all day from Friday through Sunday. During the week I work during school hours, so my weekday availability is more limited. My aim is to give your dog a safe, relaxed and loving home while you're away with plenty of attention, cuddles, lovely walks and, of course, the occasional treat! I'd always be happy to arrange a meet-and-greet beforehand so we can make sure your dog and Ginny are a good match.
