Pet care experience
Rescue dog owner and animal lover!
I'm an experienced pet owner and sitter with a love for all animals. I have my own 8 year old rescue dog, Kika, who has various behavioural and medical issues which has given me a lot of experience in managing these conditions. Before adopting Kika I spent many years pet sitting through BorrowMyDoggy and Trusted Housesitters - looking after dogs of various ages and sizes, cats, and even chickens. I grew up with cats so have experience looking after all ages from young kittens through to senior and blind.

Ratings and reviews
Once again Gemma took excellent care of Blake (especially during the heatwave!) we came home to a happy and cool little pooch 😎

Gemma did a wonderful job looking after Blake during the hot weather. Very early and late walks so he only went at the coolest times of day and wonderfully communicative with lots of pictures

Gemma is very lovely and easy to communicate with. You can definitely see her true passion for dogs. My dog immediately liked her. I will definitely use her services again in future.

Gemma was fantastic with Maggie (my boisterous whip), as always. Maggie loves her and always sad to see her leave! She followed all instructions perfectly and left the house spotless. I'd definitely recommend her to anyone needing a pet sitter.

Gemma does an amazing job looking after my now teenage whippet Maggie! Maggie can be sensitive and reactive but I always feel extremely secure and know shes in the best care with Gemma. Couldn't ask for better / more reliable care - and would absolutely recommend her. Thank you!!! Rachel and Maggie.

Schedule
In the week I work mostly from home, so for house sitting I just need somewhere to work from my laptop. My work is quite flexible, so I have plenty of time for lots of fussing and a couple of walks during the day. Depending on your pets routine, I often start the day with a longer walk before breakfast, and then a number of toilet breaks throughout the day with a short walk at lunch time. I am sometimes also able to take dogs for boarding, but my own rescue dog would need to meet them and be comfortable with them first.
