Availability
My day job is hybrid, so can spend most weekdays and weekends with your pet for long term stays (with 1 or 2 days in the office), but can work from home for the whole duration if the stay is less than 7 days.

About Gemma H.
Communication
Safety, trust & environment
I follow the pet’s usual routine for feeding, walking, taking any medications etc. to ensure they are feeling comfortable with their new environment (a stranger in the home can be very scary for some pets!). I will ensure all doors are locked when not in use and any security features are turned on.
Information Gemma H. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know of any behavioural or medical issues with your pets. I’ll love them just as much, but this lets me ask any questions in advance to make sure I take the best care of them :)
A typical day
For cats, lots of toys if they’re playful or just a good snuggle if they’re affectionate. Otherwise I respect their boundaries. For dogs that are comfortable around people and other dogs, I can find dog parks for frolicking in. If they’re shy, I stick to power dog walking in quiet areas.

Experienced Catsitter in London
Cat care experience
I’m a 30 year old Australian who recently moved to London. In Australia, I spent the last ~8 years catsitting for regular clients (I am a huge cat person) with the occasional dogsitting too (from poodles, to labradors, to Spanish water dogs!). I mostly do long term petsitting (i.e. a week or longer), as I love spending time bonding with your pets, but would consider shorter term stays! All my previous clients were through word of mouth in the Sydney area, but I thought I’d start a profile here. I am also very clean, considerate and friendly with experience housesitting plants and furniture if you have no pets! I am very attentive to a cat’s needs and can recognise any cues that indicate they may be uncomfortable (eye infections, ticks etc, I have seen it all over the years). Most importantly, I will love you cat as much as you when you’re away!
Reviews

Gemma looked after our cat very well. I got regular updates and pictures and she was very communicative. Gemma kindly helped with watering of the plants during the heatwave too. Highly recommend.
Gemma was great with our cat and with communication throughout. I would highly recommend her and hope to book her again in the future!

Gemma was very attentive to our elderly cat's needs and unfazed by his various requirements, including specific grooming instructions and his various medications. She spent a good length of time understanding his needs on the meet and greet. Gemma sent daily updates about our cat at our request and left our flat extremely clean and tidy. Thank you Gemma!

Gemma took incredibly good care of our cat and house, she regularly sent photos and updates. She stayed at our house for 5 days with our needy Devon rex and on our return Esme looked so well taken care of. The house was spotless too. We look forward to her coming back on our next holiday
