A typical day

Will typically take the dogs out first thing in the morning for their walk, then they can settle down in the day in our offices (or a quiet room if they prefer) whilst we work (will let them out regularly in the garden), then once the kids get home they can have play time and another walk if boarding!

Pet care experience

We’re lifelong dog lovers and take a considered, personal approach so each dog receives plenty of individual attention. My husband and I both work from home full time, meaning dogs in our care are rarely left alone and enjoy consistent company throughout the day. During the week, our home is particularly calm as our two children (aged 6 and 8) are at school. We share our home with our own 3-year-old dog, who is relaxed, friendly, and well socialised with other dogs. Our children have grown up around dogs and are gentle and respectful, understanding when a dog needs space. We are best suited to dogs who are comfortable in a family environment and around children. Our home is spacious, with several quiet areas where dogs can rest if they prefer their own space, as well as the option to stay close to us in our home office. We also have a secure, fully fenced garden for safe outdoor time. Sleeping arrangements are flexible and tailored to your dog’s usual routine. We follow a calm, consistent daily routine, including at least one walk a day, and we’re happy to maintain your dog’s normal feeding, medication, and care. Ahead of booking, we ask owners to share any special requirements so we can provide thoughtful, personalised care. We’re always happy to arrange a meet and greet to make sure it’s the right fit for everyone.

I would 100% recommend Gemma and her family. Gemma responded really quickly to my request, invited us over, listened and understood our tricky spaniel and his anxieties. They were not phased at all and Chester loved their dog straight away and they were off in the garden running around. They took him on adventures to the park and also for a lovely beach day, and sent lots of photos. I honestly could not have felt happier leaving him anywhere. Such a lovely friendly family and their children loved Chester and made a fuss of him too.
