Pet care experience
Loving your pets while you're gone.
I love playing with active animals who like wrestling and physical activity, or just sitting together for company. I have had pets for most of my life, including puppies less than a year old, and currently have an 11 year old husky with arthritis, giving me a breadth of experience with dogs of various breeds, sizes, and ages. I also have plenty of experience taking care of animals for family, friends, and neighbors since middle school.
Qualifications
Pets
Safety, trust & environment
I am comfortable providing whatever environment your pet is most comfortable with, whether they're very active and enjoy wrestling, prefer just quietly being around someone and getting some pets, or anything in-between. I also have plenty of experience handling larger dogs that pull hard at the leash while on a walk, and can stay comfortably in control, keeping them safe.
Ratings and reviews
Gemma is wonderful with animals! She’s caring, responsible, and dependable. I would absolutely trust her with my pets and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a great pet sitter.
Gemma is an amazing pet sitter. She watched our cat and dog when we went out of town and we knew our fur babies were safe and happy. Gemma would be a wonderful asset to Rover and anyone who hires Genma.
I would highly recommend Gemma to anyone looking for someone they can truly trust with their pets. She is compassionate, caring and dependable. It was clear that she genuinely loves animals and treats every pet as if they were her own. I felt my cat was happy, safe and well cared for.
Gemma is a "Gem" with animals. Our dog Finley gets so excited to see her, knowing he will get all the attention he craves. And I love that I know I can rely on Gemma to show up on time to let him out when we're gone all day. She is very responsible and super friendly. Highly recommend!
Gemma took care of my senior husky every day for a few months while I was transitioning to a new job. I could see the care she put into taking care of her; going out of her way to brush my dog when I didn't request it and take her on long walks more often than needed. She was very communicative and responsive to requests, and worked to make sure both I and my dog had our anxieties mitigated.
