Pet care experience

Dogaholic

I have loved dogs since I can remember and cannot pass one on the street without stopping to say hello. I am also now thinking I would like to work with them for a living so currently undertaking some training courses to help me to do that. Have had dogs from puppies and dog sat for several friends and family. I could provide references if desired. Please note : when I have put 20 years experience , I am meaning that's how long I have had dogs

Gemma has an amazing connection with dogs. She absolutely loves them and they love her. She is exceptionally reliable, deeply responsible, and treats every animal in her care as if they were her own. Beyond her natural affinity for dogs, Gemma is organized, trustworthy, and possesses a calm, reassuring presence that immediately puts both pets and owners at ease. I have no hesitation in recommending Gemma to anyone looking for dependable and loving care for their pets.

For as long as I have known Gemma, she has been mad about dogs. She cannot walk past a dog without saying hello. She has always had a dog(s) of her own and I would have no problem leaving our beloved Alfie ‘ The family dog ‘with her for any period of time. Gemma is very conscientious and would always put your dog first.

Gemma is one of the most dog friendly people I know. She has 2 beautiful dogs herself, who she absolutely adores. She looks after our chocolate Labrador for us sometimes and goes above and beyond to make us feel happy, he absolutely adores her too! I don’t like going away and leaving our boy, but knowing he is with Gemma puts us at ease as we know how well looked after he is.

One of Gemma’s greatest passions in life is dogs. Having grown up with a family dog, she has always had a genuine love and affinity for animals and has subsequently had dogs of her own. She currently has two much-loved dogs, whose welfare, safety and happiness are her and her partner’s highest priority. She takes great pride in providing them with a loving, caring and secure environment, with plenty of attention, affection and, of course, cuddles! Gemma is kind, caring, responsible, highly organised and trustworthy. She is attentive to the individual needs of every dog in her care and understands the importance of providing reassurance, companionship and consistent care. You can be confident that your dog(s) will be in safe and loving hands with Gemma, receiving the same level of care, attention and affection that she gives to her own dogs.

Gemma is a great dog lover and has owned and lived with one or more dogs since a young age. She is very caring and trustworthy and I would be totally confident in leaving our two spaniels in her care.

Hello, Gemma is such a dog person. She loves all breeds. She is very intuned to their needs and will look for ways to make them comfy. She understands the importance of dietary requirements and is conscious of not giving unhealthy snacks. She is extremely friendly and a very personable, likeable person.

Schedule

I am currently WFH 5 days a week on a very flexible schedule. I would walk your dog separate to mine during the week but walk them all together on a Sunday due to having access to a bigger car for walk location variation. Dependant on the weather as to how much time I would be in the garden with them (wouldn't be left unsupervised) but obviously regular toilet breaks are a given.

Safety, trust & environment

I have a safe enclosed garden and both neighbours also have dogs. My two are friendly with Molly (Westie) being more playful than Dora (PBGV). I have several dog beds in several rooms but the dogs can go where they please in the house including sofas. (I fit round them most of the time!) If you prefer them to be crated at night, please just let me know. My dogs tend to prefer to be in a room where someone is but are free to roam. There are dog seat belts in the back of the car if I were to take them anywhere for walks. Your dog will be fed separately to mine as Molly is cheeky and tries to steal food. I had 3 dogs but lost our beloved Whippet last year, but used to 3 dogs in the house.
