Hi, I'm Gemma, 30 years old and a big lover of all animals. I moved to Salisbury from London a couple of years ago now. I have previously studied two courses in animal nursing and welfare and animal psychology, and also completed an animal first aid course. Alongside this I have taken care of cats (alongside babysitting jobs) since the age of 16. A few years back my partner and I were lucky enough to adopt the sweetest 18 year old cat called Peggy Sue. There was not much interest in her, so rather than go for a younger cat, I wanted to give her the best retirement possible. The rehoming vets team warned us that we would be lucky to get 6 months with her. We got 4 wonderfully happy years. Peggy passed away peacefully in November 2022, so I would love to be able to give your cats the same love and care I was able to give to my little Peggy. We have since adopted a gorgeous little cat called Mishka. She is sassy as anything, full of character and I am totally besotted! So I certainly feel comfortable around the more grumpy cats as well as the super affectionate ones! I have also always been around animals since I was a child, having dogs and guinea pigs from the age of 6.
