I’ve grown up around dogs and have had a dog in my life for as long as I can remember, so caring for pets has always felt like second nature to me. While at university, I also took part in BorrowMyDoggy, which gave me the opportunity to spend time with and care for dogs outside of my own home. I’ve also regularly helped friends and family look after their pets, whether that’s dog walking, feeding, keeping them company or simply giving them lots of cuddles and attention. I genuinely love being around animals and understand how important it is to know your pet is happy, safe and well cared for when you’re not there. I’d love to give your pet the same care and attention I’d want for my own.

Safety, trust & environment
Your pet’s safety and happiness would always be my priority. I take the time to understand their usual routine, personality and any specific instructions from their owner, and I’m happy to follow their normal feeding, walking and care routines as closely as possible. When visiting a pet owner’s home, I’m respectful of their space and treat their home with the same care I would my own. I’ll make sure doors, gates and windows are secure, keep pets supervised and make sure they’re comfortable and settled before I leave. As I work from home most of the time, I’m also able to give pets plenty of attention and company during the day when needed. Above all, I want owners to feel confident that their pets are in safe, caring and trustworthy hands.

Gemma looked after my two cats whilst I was away and she did a fantastic job. Gemma came and met the boys beforehand and was very thorough making sure she knew their routine. She kept me up to date whilst I was away and was just so lovely how much she cared for them. Would definitely recommend!
I was really hesitant to leave my new rescue pup with anyone but I definitely made the right choice using Gemma. She won Bramble over really quickly with her calm and friendly nature towards him. She was patient and looked after him really well. Gemma sent regular updates throughout the day which I was really grateful for and I'm sure he can't wait to see her again!
Gemma was a fab sitter for my dog! She was prompt at arrival, quickly made him feel at ease and gave me lots of updates and photos. I wouldn't hesitate to book with her again!
Gemma has grown up with dogs of her own and since I've known her, offers love and care to every animal she meets with utmost kindness. She has helped me with my own dogs previously, and I trust her wholeheartedly with my animals that mean the most. She is reliable, has great communication, and will be the easiest person to take requests and preferences for your special pet.
Gemma has grown up with dogs her whole life. Dogs of different types, styles and needs. She has a natural empathy with dogs and they feel the same about her. I have never known a dog that doesn't want to say hello to her. She is very reliable, extremely conscientious and totally trustworthy. An articulate and intelligent lady, who would adhere (to the letter) to any specific requirement etc for an animal.
I couldn’t recommend Gemma highly enough! She is caring, reliable and a natural with dogs. She genuinely loves animals and always goes above and beyond to make sure they feel happy, comfortable and well cared for. I’d have no hesitation trusting her with my own dog and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and loving dog sitter, that goes the extra doggy mile!

Schedule
I currently work from home around 90% of the time, which gives me lots of flexibility during the day and means I’m able to fit pet care around my working hours. I’m happy to visit pets in their own homes, take dogs out for walks, pop in for feeding and company, or spend longer periods with them if needed. As I work remotely, I can also work from your home while looking after your pet, so they can have plenty of company throughout the day rather than being left alone for long periods. I’m flexible and happy to work around your pet’s usual routine wherever possible.
