I am a nurse, I work set shifts which are Monday and Wednesday at present. I am off the other days, so can facilitate visits on the days. If required I can do home visits early morning or night time around work, or if I am working from home I can do check in calls through the day.

I’m looking to offer dog walking and check in services. I will comply with any routines or training requirements the owner has for their animal to ensure they feel safe and comfortable around me.

I would like to know the pet’s routine, and preferences the owner has for walking - lead/social/lone/dog reactive etc. I would also need to know of any precautions or pre existing medical conditions.
A typical day
This is all dog dependent. I can take them on a lead walk to work on their lead walking skills, or if they don’t have a reliable recall. I can take them for walks across fields and designated walkways. I can take them to enclosed areas and throw a ball/stick. Whatever your dog needs, I will endeavour to cater for.

Pet care experience
I was born into a house with dogs, and have had varying breeds my whole life - we currently have a very social 18 month Lab x Vizsla, who loves long walks and stagnant water swimming. As a nurse, I have a caring nature and am not afraid to get stuck in. I have looked after my own puppies and elderly dogs too, so am happy to deal with any incontinence issues and to administer medication. I am reliable and trustworthy and will always do my upmost to ensure your animal has a great experience with me. I currently walk other dogs in my local village and provide other services such as cat care for neighbours. I have had rabbits and hamsters, and would be happy to tend to any animal. The is is the second time I have used Gemma for my drop in visits and she didn’t disappoint. Gemma is very professional and cares about the animals in her care ensuring they have everything they need. My cat doesn’t like anyone else apart from me and the fact she actually came out to greet Gemma and ask for cuddles is a massive + in my book. Thank you Gemma - until the next time 😊🥰
