I currently work from home most days, and have some flexible availability if my schedule allows to come love on your pets, whether you are home or away! Maybe it’s for a walk in your neighborhood, a romp in your yard, a game of fetch, a sunbathing snooze or a snuggle on the sofa! If your dog is up for a car ride, we can find some new places nearby to roam together! I am available throughout the day for feeding time, or just hanging together time! With some notice, and if you live nearby so I can easily check on my own pets and other Rover clients, I may be able to house sit and do overnight visits in your home as well.

And I know that having trusted care for my pets when I am away from them is such peace of mind. All of that is my goal for you and your pets! I want you and them to feel as comfortable and at ease as possible! I will care for them and your home as if they were my own.

I’d like to know feeding routines and schedules, along with any meds or special care your pet may need. I’d also love to know how your pet typically acts when you are away and how they react to new people and routine, and of course anything else you find important to share! The more I know the easier our time will be together.

If your dog likes to walk, rain or shine, cold or heat, like mine does, we will get outside and move! I can make these walks whatever you would like them to be! A long or brisk walk to get energy out, a slow walk where your dog can smell all the smells and enjoy the fresh air, or a training walk focused on them having attention on me and their leash skills…or maybe it’s playing in your home or yard…or simply feeding, petting and loving on them. Please tell me what a normal day for your dog is, their routine and their favorite things to do. You tell me what your needs and expectations are.

I am a lifelong animal lover. My best friend growing up was my chocolate lab. I have had several pets in my life since then…as many as four dogs and four cats at one time! I recently moved to the Nashville area from Charlotte, NC with my 11 year old lab mix (a foster fail) along with two dog-friendly cats. They bring me such JOY and are a very important part of my world! I have cared for three senior, geriatric dogs and understand what they need, raised many puppies (and potty trained a dozen of them), raised a dozen kittens (and rescued more!) and had a diabetic cat. I had a horse for 16 years, and have had hamsters, chameleons, fish, hermit crabs and a ball python! When my daughters left for college, I started fostering puppies and dogs for local and out of state rescue groups. And for a few years, I also enjoyed welcoming and caring for dogs in my home while their families were away. Animals make me happy and fill my heart and life. I am well equipped to care for your pets and their unique, special needs, whatever they may be, but mostly, I will be a trusted, reliable, fun and loving friend they look forward to visits from.

Gayle was absolutely amazing with my pup! She was always on time, incredibly responsive, and checked in with me 3–4 times a day. She sent plenty of photos and always explained what they did together, which made me feel so connected even while I was away. She was also very respectful of my home, which I really appreciated. This was my first time ever leaving my dog with someone outside of family, and Gayle made Tiger feel so comfortable — and honestly, she put me at ease too. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend Gayle to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and communicative.
