I grew up in South Africa and I cant remember a time we didn't have at least 2 dogs. I recently spent 2 weeks in South Africa looking after my brothers dog, Biscuit. I fell in love. He reminded me what I have been missing for the last 10 years. Unfortunately dogs are not allowed in my building so I thought loving other peoples dogs might be the best option for me at the moment. I am a friendly, easy going teacher/blogger/ life coach. I am a supply teacher so my schedule is pretty flexible. I will be available to walk on weekends evenings and some week days...depending on what is needed... I am also a writer so I spend most of my time at home....your dog will have lots of company. Please note: If you need someone to continue crate training your dog; or follow a practice of not greeting your dog when getting home (until every inche of excitement has drained out of their little doggy bones) or HEAVEN FORBID you don't like dogs on couches 😲 then respectfully I probably wont be the right sitter for you. Its nothing personal, that's just the exact opposite of how I am with dogs and it never makes for a fun job for me 😉 I love nothing more than sitting on the couch with my laptop and a warm dog cuddled up besides me. The joy that animals have when seeing their human return is one of the absolute best parts of this job. If you are not put off by my terms, I promise with 110% certainty that I'll lavish your pup with absolute love and attention. ❤️

I think our dog loves Gayle more than us! Gayle stayed at our house for 2 weeks whilst we were on holiday, and she and Willow clearly had the best time and had cuddles I never have had! 😀 I feel much better knowing there’s someone in our new area who’s trustworthy and reliable to look after our baby. Gayle was super good with our dog Khaya. Khaya can be wary of strangers but opened up to Gayle quite quickly. Gayle sent us regular updates and was very friendly. Can only recommend her to others!

We look forward to booking Gayle again soon! Our three senior dogs had a lovely day with Gayle, they were happy and calm upon our return. Our Dachshund who has anxiety took to her right away, and seemed relaxed when we left instead of pacing and crying as he sometimes does. Gayle was very understanding of our dogs needs and care. We received photos and videos throughout the day. We will be booking Gayle again soon!
