I am a 66 year old male who has always been around dogs, cats and other animals as I was raised on a farm in Ohio. I enjoy hiking, gardening, reading and the arts. At present, I do not have a dog of my own. I had a male Norwegian Elkhound who lived to be 16 and then a female German Shepherd who lived to be 13 years and 8 months old. She passed away in May of this year so I am trying to get my dog needs met by taking care of other people's dogs as if they were my own. I have experience taking care of dogs during all of the stages of their lives from puppy to senior and have loved and cared for them every step of the way. I would welcome the opportunity of caring for your best friend in your home or mine.

Gayle did a wonderful job watching my big boy Buddy. Buddy is a greyhound with some quirks and Gayle handled it all with no issues. He asked a lot of questions about Buddy's personality and typical routine. He took Buddy on walks in the morning before it got too hot and sent pictures and updates everyday. Gayle is a real dog lover and Buddy took to him quickly. I would definitely use Gayle again and recommend him to other Rover users as he was very attentive to Buddy, communicative and easy to talk to.
I have known Gayle for over twenty years, and in that time he has been the loving owner of two dogs, Sigmund and Freia. They were both very lucky dogs to be in Gayle's care. Gayle is a real dog person, and always enjoyed taking his dogs to the dog park, where they could run around off leash and have a good time. I am sure Gayle would be an excellent dog caregiver for rover.com.
I have been associated with Gayle for many years and have seen him care for at least two dogs and one or two cats. He really took care of his dogs. He is very trustworthy.

Is the dog well socialized and good with other dogs, children and adults? Does the dog have any special needs? Is it crate trained and house broken? The rules of the HOA where I live will not allow pit bulls, pit bull mixes nor Rottweilers on the premises so please do not ask me to keep one of those breeds.

Your dog could play in my yard or we could go for walks around the neighborhood. If the dog likes to play games such as fetch etc., I would be more than willing to keep their minds and bodies exercised.
