Pet care experience
I love pets, pets love me.
I’ve been around dogs my entire life, big dogs to small dogs. I always take special care to treat any pet as they are my own.

Safety, trust & environment
I usually keep bedrooms and bathroom closed off with them having access to the living room and conjoined kitchen. The dogs are also allowed on the couch as long as they are well behaved.
Ratings and reviews
Great dog sitter! Sent photos seemed like my dog had a great time.
Gavin was nice in he beginning with communication before bringing my puppy to him. At drop off he was unable to be reached for about 30 min while I waited on him. He finally txted me back when I was about to cancel apologizing and saying he fell asleep. He also had 2 dogs in his home although his profile stated he just had 1. Gavin was watching my puppy for 6 days and only sent 3 pictures the entire time. The real issues came with pickup. We agreed on 8:30am on pickup day then I received a message around 8am saying he needed to push back to 11 am due to a last minute appointment. He was then very unresponsive during the day. He finally stated that he had to work and he took the dogs to South Bend with him (across state lines) and would not be able to be home for pick up until 11pm that night. I was very concerned for the safety of my puppy. He was apologetic in his sporadic txt messages but did not apologize or give conversation/ explanation in person. Ultimately he didn’t deliver the care and attention promised to my puppy. I was told he worked from home and could take him out for potty breaks very often. When I picked up my puppy, he was extremely dehydrated and the blanket left with him was soiled terribly. Also, there are two toys that he did not bring down when I picked up my dog. I txted him immediately and called to bring them downstairs before I left. I’m writing this review the next day and still have mot heard back from him. I appreciate him watching my puppy while out of town but would not trust my puppy with Gavin again.

Gavin seemed very friendly via text in the beginning. He watched our dogs for a few days. One of my dogs came back extremely thin and both smelled like they had been crated for an extensive period. When asked Gavin said everything had been fine …? I don’t know, things seemed very off. When Gavin brought the dogs out to me at the end of the stay , he forgot to bring down the dog’s bark collar and dog bowls. When I got home I realized it and wrote him quickly. It has been multiple weeks , multiple texts and multiple calls. Silence. It has been impossible to get the bark collar back from Gavin which has been extremely frustrating and sucks bc it was an expensive collar.

Gavin was very attentive and was awesome to work with!

Gavin is my son, and he has had dogs since he was 15.His first dog was a German Shepherd named Juice who was very well cared for by Gavin. He was groomed regularly, walked daily and fed well. He also had a Pit Bull named Remy who was also well cared for. Later he had a rescue named Blau, Gavin did not know that Blau had a disease, and became quite ill. Gavin cared for him until he passed in his sleep. He currently has Perdy, a Dalmatian rescue. Perdy is happy and well loved and cared for by Gavin. I believe that Gavin is well suited to be a dog walker, or dog sitter.
Gavin is a dog person through and through. He has owned several dogs since he was a teenager. They hare all received exceptional care, and a considerable amount of affection. he currently has a Dalmatian rescue and there is a very strong bond between them. I believe that Gavin will be a good addition to the Rover program. Gregory E. V.

I work from home so I have no conflicts with pet care. Also I usually go on routine walks so why walks won’t be an issue.
