Pet care experience

Animal lover, crazy cat person

I earned my certificate as a vet tech assistant in 2013 at Eastern New Mexico University (Roswell). I used to dog sit for a family friend for several years. I worked at Veterinary Clinic of Lubbock for 8 years and Live Oak Animal Hospital for 2 and 1/2 years. I've monitored doggy daycare, trimmed nails, given baths, restrained for vaccines in nail trims, etc.

He did great! We left clear instructions and he followed them to the T! We’ll definitely use Garrett again.

Garrett was our house sitter and pet sitter for many years in Lubbock, until we moved away a few years ago. He was very dependable, consistent, honest and we always felt very comfortable leaving him in charge of our house and to care for our precious pups. Our pups absolutely loved him, and we knew they were well cared for while we were away! Having so much vet tech experience, as well as a tremendous love for animals, made Garrett our ideal pet sitter. He was also very neat and tidy, and we knew our house would be in great shape when we got home. We sure wish we could have brought him with us! He’s a gem! We highly recommend him for all your pet needs!

Garrett is one of the most talented and experienced pet caregivers that I personally know. He has ample personal and professional experience caring for and working with animals of all kinds. With 10+ years of combined professional pet caregiving experience, he has previously worked in a variety of roles behind the scenes at two vet clinics. Personally, he has been a lifelong pet lover and owner and exhibits endless patience, love, and attention for all the pets that he has had a personal connection to. He also has years of experience caring for the pets of family friends and acquaintances. If you book with Garrett, you can expect the utmost attention to detail and a job always well done.

Garrett worked for me at the Veterinary Clinic of Lubbock three or four years. He was very conscientious in fulling his duties and was also very dependable in his attendance. He was very caring toward our patients. He was also well liked by his fellow employees. He likes to stay busy and thrives when he is given specific duties to fulfill. I retired in March of 2020 and my clinic was closed. Otherwise Garrett would still be working for me. Randy C. Bullard, DVM

I have a cat of my own. I've worked at vet clinics for over 10 years and went to school for pet care. I used to dog sit and I sometimes walk my neighbor's dog for extra money.

16 to 40 lbs
41 to 100 lbs

I need to know of any medical issues they may have, any behavior or temperament issues they may have, any important medical issues, their food schedule, medications, etc. I have other part-time jobs and a cat at home, so I need to be able to leave for up to 6 hours, if I'm staying at your house overnight.
