Dog loving Active WFH Professional

Growing up our home always had at least one dog or cat in it, if not a several! From breaking out of the backyard as a toddler with my childhood dog Scooter, to getting my own pets when I left the nest, I have always loved and cared for my pets like they are a part of the family, because they are! If you ask my little sister she’ll probably tell you that I was much nicer to our dogs than I was to her. As someone who has had to help their senior dog cross the rainbow bridge, I have the patience and compassionate skill set to offer care for your senior dog or cat. I’ve house/pet sat for all life stages of pets and am happy to meet your pet where ever they may be in life. For house sitting, please keep in mind that my dog Chloe (on my profile) usually comes with me, so I require a meet and greet prior. As someone who’s been around a lot of rescue pups, I also have a knack for noticing that look in your scrappy heeler mix’s eye when they’ve had enough! I’d love to meet your furry friends and chat some more to see if we might be a good fit. Thanks for reading.

Garitt was an amazing dog sitter for Peanut. Peanut warmed up quickly to Garitt and his dog Chloe. Garitt treated Peanut as one of his own and kept me updated frequently with pictures. I would definitely use Garitt again and would recommend anyone to use him.

Garitt was a great sitter while I was out of town for a week. His dog Chloe is a sweetie, and she and my dog got along great. Garitt sent daily updates with photos and videos, took my dog out on adventures, and was really easy to coordinate with. My dog came home happy and well cared for. I would absolutely recommend Garitt and plan to book with him again in the future.

Garitt was a great sitter for Jack. From the jump he was very communicative. He set up a time for Jack to meet his dog, Chloe, to make sure they’d get along. After drop off he sent tons of pictures and videos of Jack. And at pickup, Jack was happy to see me, but didn’t rush off to go home, he stuck around to say bye and get some last scratches from his new friend Garitt.

Garitt did such a great job caring with my little gremlin! Japhy came back happily worn out and clearly lived Garitt and his dog Chloe :D

Garitt is friendly, kind, and dependable. He is able to administer a transdermal medication to my sometimes difficult cat without issue. I highly recommend Garitt for pet sitting.

Schedule

I work from home with a flexible schedule with my “on” hours being a normal 8-5, mon-fri. However I have a lot of flexibility in my daily schedule and am able to take my own personal dog on several walks throughout the day. Usually two shorter ones in the earlier part of the day with a longer walk in the evening.

Pets

A typical day

A typical day with Chloe and I starts with a potty break in the yard whenever the first dog wakes up. Depending on the dogs individual needs, we usually take two shorter walks during the work day, with a longer walk in the evening, typically to and around Mt Tabor. I work from home and your furry friend will gets lots of attention and treats(if allowed) between my work calls!

No females in heat
Garitt can host up to 2 pets per night
I live in an apartment building, so my only real deal breaker is heavy barkers. Chloe also likes to protect the house with her life when the UPS/FedEx driver delivers a package (the audacity!), but a heads up on anything past the “typical” amount of barking is appreciated.
