I retired several years ago and moved to my dream place of Sedona AZ (actually reside in the VOC). Over the years, I have traveled a lot with my two dogs and know how difficult it can be to get a quality dog sitter so I am offering my services to locals and visitors to Sedona who want to have their dog stay in a nice home while you are out and about working or having fun in Sedona. I live in a single family home with a large fenced in backyard. I have two dogs, a full golden retriever (Harper) and a half golden retriever (Mia), both going on 7 years old. My girls are friendly with the full golden being more interested in playing with your dog if your dog initiates play. I have owned dogs for more than 30 years, including senior dogs with issues such as requiring giving medicines, being blind or even having doggie dementia. I look forward to meeting you and your dog(s) and providing safe, quality dog pet sitting for the day or overnight.

Garey provided wonderful daycare for our elderly dogs 2 days in a row which allowed us some time for longer trails and some golf. He was communicative, flexible with our times, and took great care of the dogs. We felt like we were dropping them of at a friend's house. We would highly recommend his services.
We could tell Artemis had a great time at Garey's as he had a wonderful nap on the way home. Thanks for taking care of our pup. We would definitely use Garey's services again.
Gary watched over our little Rosey for the day so we could hike in the heat without worrying about her. Rosey is a small senior and fairly delicate, but Gary kept her safe and comfortable all day in his beautiful home. I would recommend him in a minute! Thank you Gary!

Being retired, I have the time to provide pet sitting services as needed, either for the day or overnight. I own a single family home with a large fenced in backyard. Living in Sedona, where the weather is beautiful, we are outside a lot, except for when it gets too hot in the middle of summer. As I have two dogs of my own, my home is dog proof. I also try to to walk the dogs twice a day when possible.

I would like to know any and all details you are willing to share. Special treats? Walking tips? Petting or grooming tips? Gets along with other dogs? Friendly or aloof? Wants to play with my dogs or prefers it's own space? Medicine requirements? etc.
A typical day
I take my dogs on walks up to three times a day, but only 1 or 2 times during the summer as you cannot walk the dogs on the asphalt mid-day when it is hot here. We live a pretty low key life here so, besides playing with my dogs and their toys, which they will willingly share, we hang out and I give lots of pets. My backyard is long, which is great for dogs who like to play fetch.
