I'm retired, so I'm available most of the time. I have worked with two different German Shepherd Rescues as a foster mom. I also volunteer at the local regional animal shelter. I have helped train many dogs over the years. I also have quite a bit of cat experience, as well as birds, fish (both salt and freshwater tanks) and reptiles, I enjoy cats, and find that they are all very unique. I enjoy being a pet sitter, providing safety and love for them while their parents are away. I offer FREE MEET & GREETS! (A Meet & Greet is necessary for the first visit, no exceptions). Also, I need 3 days advance notice in order to consider your pet for boarding. I have many reviews in my profile from past sitting jobs. Thanks

Gail is wonderful! Our dog Henry enjoyed every minute and came back home happy and in peace. Gail texted us about him every single day so we were in peace, too. Gail took very good care of my dog. She really took the time at the meet and greet to make sure it was going to be a good fit which I appreciated. She let me know how he was doing and sent me pictures and a short video while I was away. I plan to use Gail in the future and would highly recommend her to others.
Gail has a natural ability to connect with animals and my cats responded to that very quickly. The reports on visits were always timely, and her communication is great. My cats were very calm and unstressed on my return, I would recommend her highly.
Gail was very personable and knowledgeable about animal behavior. She handled my dogs with great care and they felt very comfortable with her. I would not hesitate to utilize her services again.

Schedule
I am retired and available as noted on my calendar. I make every attempt to feed dogs and cats at the same time as the owners. I find that keeping pets on a schedule helps them to feel safe and comfortable when their owners are away.

My dog, Sky, is AKC "Star Puppy" and "Advanced Obedience" trained. I have a strong skill set for helping anxious dogs. I understand how to keep a pet engaged, both in general play and affection.

A typical day
I believe in treat affirmation and praise for good behavior. Dogs: I am willing to play fetch with your dog if they enjoy that. I enjoy engaging dogs in play of any type. I recently trained a retriever how to use a herding ball and return it to me. He loved it! Cats: I find cats fun to engage with enticing types of toys. I think that all cats are unique and interesting, regardless of their breed or personality.

- I will send a text or email update, and photo with each home visit. I take the time to ensure that your pet is doing well and is comfortable. I spend 30 minutes in the home for each visit. I am available for longer visits, if desired, at a minimum additional cost.
