I have a flexible schedule which leaves me plenty of time to walk and play with fur babies. I do have a part time job so I will need to leave occasionally when I am housesitting. I also don't mind commuting to care for an animal.

I live in a lovely neighborhood for walking and am also able to drive dogs to nearby parks and hiking trails to play and exercise. I have a cat at home who dislikes other animals so I would only be able to provide care at a client's home.

A typical day
We will explore the sights and smells of Pittsburgh's North Side or take a long walk in the park. I love to hike so we might go to Schenley or Frick park to get our energy out. We’d finish up by curling up on the couch and watching some TV.

Pet care experience
I grew up with pets (both cats and dogs) and have always loved being around and caring for animals. I worked as an animal care associate at the Humane Society of Chittenden County in Burlington, VT, where I learned safe handling techniques, gained medical knowledge, and cared for a wide variety of breeds and behavioral cases. I have extensive experience with cats, dogs, and smallies of all shapes and sizes and would love to help care for yours.

We have just recently connected with Gabby for the occasional care of two very different pups: a young pitty with a heart of gold & high energy, and a senior beagle who needs special attention & consistently peaceful presence. From the moment she met us and the pups, Gabby’s calm demeanor, genuine kindness, helpful humor and solid connection in really really listening to all of the quirks of dog care was superb and the perfect fit. It’s easy to tell she’s had both professional experience with animal care / communication & true love for her previous pets.
