I am currently pet sitting full time. I spend all of my free time with my own dogs so adding a few more is no problem.

I have a friendly neutral female dog who while she does not play will happily run with other dogs. My younger is also at the age where he starting to no longer care about other dogs (just border collie things 😅) he will say hello but not much else: I live in an apartment with no garden but luckily I am living close to the forest and across the street from a fairly large park. My dogs are off leash trained, I do not expect other dogs to be and have an assortment of long lines to allow some freedom while still being on lead. I also have anti escape harnesses (3 strap) for the dogs who may benefit. When a dog or cat is in my home they are treated like family. I ask for a set of rules and instructions etc for your furry friend to ensure I can take care of them just like you would! In the client's home I ask for instructions on the things they believe I need to know about the home in order for their pet to be comfortable.

Information Gabriella R. would like to know about your pet
I do not take dogs with separation anxiety or the inability to stay home alone. I used to be able to provide this but as my schedule has filled up there are just some hours of the day (2-3hrs) I need to be walking other clients. I would like to know if the dog is reactive and what type of reactivity (aggression, fear, frustration, or a mix of these) it is so I can best manage it. I would also like the know any triggers the dog may have and if they are destructive if left alone. Please update the trigger's list accordingly as new ones present themselves so I can keep myself, my own dogs, and others safe. Also any medications or special care instructions are appreciated. I currently do not watch puppies under one year overnight, unless I have watched the puppy multiple times and know the personality well. I also would like to do a trial evening/night to see if the puppy will sleep through the night, be comfortable, able to settle etc.
A typical day
I wake up relatively early and go on a 40-60 minute walk in the forest, then I bring Phoebe and Beau and whichever dog I’m walking, home for breakfast. Then it is just chill time until the next walk which in the hotter months is shorter and normally to some body of water with shade. The evenings are quiet normally and the last walk is about 30 minutes really just for a potty. Throughout the day there will be playing and resting. I enjoy walking in the Elsenburgerbos or Rijswijkbos, they are lovely and most of the times quiet and have room to run. Scent games also seem to be among the favourites as well as mental puzzles like a kong or snuffel mat.

Pet care experience
I’ve taken care of dogs my entire life, at age 10 I began to take care of dogs from my neighbors and friends. My experience includes small dogs; I have owned a dachshund/schnauzer, and have taken care of yorkies, shih tzu, mini poodle, and various mixes of these breeds. Medium dogs: I own an 11 year old border collie and a 16 month old border collie, and have owned Australian shepherds. I have watched over labs, goldens, flatcoats, corgis, staffys, spaniels (many different types) and many mixes. Giant dogs: I have owned a Newfoundland and English Mastiffs. And I have looked after Great Danes, Bernese Mountain dogs, Rottweiler, GSD, Dutch Shepherd, Malinois and Akitas. I am well versed in potty training, leash manners, off lead manners, obedience (beginner to intermediate) as well as some basic behaviour modification regarding reactivity.

Reviews

Gabriella is amazing, very attentive and does everything perfectly 🫶🏻 even managed to take picture of my very shy cat!

Gabriella was super sweet and attentive to my 2 little dogs. They were well looked after, cared for and loved being around her. She was punctual, kind and caring and always sent me daily updates on how the dogs were doing. Definitely will book again in the future!

We are so grateful to have found such an amazing dogsitter for our pup! She has taken care of him multiple times while we’ve traveled, and every single time, she goes above and beyond. Our dog absolutely adores her — and we can tell he’s in great hands because he always comes back happy, calm, and well-loved. She treats him like her own, keeps us updated with photos and messages, and we never have to worry while we’re away. Truly couldn’t ask for a better sitter!
I can highly recommand Gabriella!
