I like to know their dog’s routine like feeding times, potty schedule, favorite toys, and any commands they’re used to. Letting me know about any medical needs, allergies, or quirks (like if they’re scared of loud noises or don’t like certain dogs) is really important too. If there are any house rules, leash preferences, or places their pup loves or should avoid, I’m all ears! The more I know, the better I can care for them like they’re my own.
A typical day
When I watch dogs, I love keeping them happy and engaged with fun activities tailored to their personality. For energetic pups, we might play fetch, tug-of-war, or run through a little obstacle course. On hot days, I’ll let them cool off with some sprinkler play or a splash in a kiddie pool. For more relaxed or senior dogs, I enjoy taking them on slow sniff-friendly walks, giving gentle brushing sessions, or playing with puzzle toys to keep their minds active. I also like doing basic training games with treats, playing hide-and-seek with their toys, and even having mini photoshoots. No matter their vibe, I make sure every dog has fun, feels loved, and stays safe.
