Pet care experience

Trusted pet care near MSU 💚🤍

Hi I’m Gabby! I’m an out of state student at msu! Im from Texas and grew up around animals all my life! I’ve always had a love for animals and am studying animal science at msu! I’ve cared for multiple different kinds of animals, many of my family members and friends have asked me to care for their pets and it’s something I’ve always loved doing. I’ve actually brought my own dog here with me here to msu! He’s a golden retriever named Tod and is a psychiatric service dog! Don’t worry he will not accompany me to any of these dog walks or pet visits tho! I also have another dog and a cat back home which I miss so much! I know how important our pets mean to us, so I’ll make sure they’re comfortable, safe, and happy every step of the way. I love taking long walks, giving cuddles (if they want them!), and keeping owners updated with photos and messages. As a student, I have a very flexible schedule, I’m available all weekend, after 2 PM on Fridays, and mornings or afternoons on weekdays. My classes are short and easy to work around. Whether your pet needs a walking buddy, playtime, or just company while you’re away, I’ll treat them like they’re my own. 🐾💚

This person took a job that required to let out the dog (twice). Once in the evening and then in the morning. They let out the dog in the evening but cancelled the morning of knowingly that a 13 year old dog would not be fed and had no where to use the bathroom. I was two hours away and read the message at 10am. I couldn’t get home till 2pm to let him out. The person said THEIR dog needed to go to the emergency vet and could not fulfill their obligation. I’m wholeheartedly disappointed and upset that this person agreed to take a job and couldn’t find the time within an 8 hour span to at least let the dog out to use the bathroom because THEIR dog needed to go to the emergency vet. As a animal owner having been to the emergency vet; I’m certain if she shared she was taking care of another pet, and needed to leave for 15 min to at least let them out, that vet clinic would have understood. The fact they thought it would be fine because they canceled at 6am and I requested the dog to be let out at 8am is another unacceptable way to handle pet care, because people have to pivot quickly to find replacement in such a short notice-particularly when they are out of town. The sad part is, I couldn’t find a replacement. Moreover, I had to cut my trip short so I could hurry up and get home to let him out. I would personally not allow this person to watch my pets or even be on this app. It’s irresponsible and lacks maturity to cancel at the last minute without thinking through the impact of not being flexible enough to provide relief for an animal one agreed to take care of. The cancel button shouldn’t have been an option. I would never use this app or this person again.

Gabriela was very detailed oriented, responded quickly to meesages/sending updates, and closely followed instructions. She was flexible and understanding when I had travel delays, and most importantly, my cat liked her a lot!

Gabby has cared for all my pets! And has done amazing!! If you’re looking for someone who would care for your pets like their own then I highly recommend her! She’s gone above and beyond for my pets to make sure they got the love and attention they deserved. She cared for my 2 dogs and cat, making sure they were fed and had water at all times, playing with dogs and providing love to my cat. She’s an amazing person, who really cares for pets.

Calendar and availability

Schedule

I’m an MSU student with a very flexible schedule! I’m available all weekend, after 2 PM on Fridays, and mornings or afternoons on weekdays. My classes are short, usually just 1–2 a day, so I have plenty of time for pet care.

Where your pet will stay

Safety, trust & environment

I’m an MSU student living in a dorm with my service dog. While dorms aren’t the perfect environment for pets, I make sure my dog gets excellent care through daily long walks, enrichment activities like long-lasting chews, and regular park visits. I always prioritize safety, cleanliness, and a calm environment. As I live in a dorm I don’t offer boarding in my home.

Pets

A typical day

I love taking pets on long walks, playing fetch, or giving them fun enrichment toys to keep them busy! For calmer pets, I enjoy just sitting with them, giving cuddles, and making sure they get plenty of attention and love.

I would like to know if they have any special needs! If they need any medication or have any medical problems I would like to be aware of that before the visit. Aswell as if they’re aggressive or shy when it comes to strangers so I know how to go about the visit.
