I’ve lived with 2 cats of my own. Growing up, our neighbors’ pets would sometimes stay with us while they traveled, so I was always involved in pet care as a kid and teenager. As an adult, I’ve been trusted with dogs and cats in several different homes. I have experience caring for sick dogs and cats, including administering medication on a schedule (twice daily doses included) and managing conditions like epilepsy. I’m also comfortable with a range of breeds and temperaments, from heat sensitive dogs to anxious ones who need extra patience. I have experience with senior dogs too, since my mom’s dog is 17 years old, so I know how to handle the slower pace, extra care, and attentiveness that senior pets need. I work from home fulltime, so I’m able to give constant attention to pets who need it, including dogs that can’t be left alone for long stretches. My boyfriend also works from home and helps out with animal care, so your pet gets even more company and supervision throughout the day. I go for at least a 2 hour walk every day and I’d love the companionship of a pet along the way. I don’t currently have pets of my own, so I only take in one pet at a time to make sure they get my full attention. My home doesn’t have sharp objects or poisonous substances lying around. I consider myself a mindful, attentive sitter, always paying close attention to my surroundings and to the pet in my care.
