Pet care experience

🐾Helping society one pet at a time

I’ve been caring for and training dogs since I was about five years old. My childhood dog is now a retired service dog that I trained myself from the beginning, which has given me a lot of hands-on experience with training, patience, and understanding animal behavior. It also helped me develop strong skills in reading animal body language and responding to their needs. In addition to dogs, I have over 17 years of experience working with cats, including experience with cat midwifery and kitten care. To me, pets are never “just pets.” They are family, and I treat every animal in my care with the same love, respect, and attention I give my own. I’m currently a nursing student at APSU, which gives me a fairly flexible schedule. Because of that, I have plenty of time for walks, playtime, drop-ins, baths, and whatever else your pet may need while you’re away. I also offer short training sessions upon request. I firmly believe every animal deserves to be treated like royalty. Many of my previous clients have become repeat clients because of the strong bonds I build with their pets. I pride myself on clear communication, reliability, and compassion so you always feel confident while your pet is in my care. I am CPR trained, experienced with administering medications, and comfortable working with pets who have unique needs or routines. My goal is always to treat your pet like family while giving you peace of mind that they are safe, happy, and well cared for. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members! I’m happy to work with puppies, seniors, and pets with special routines or medical needs Specialties: puppies, kittens, senior pets, medication administration, basic training reinforcement, service dog training experience, and cat midwifery. **I accept all breeds and sizes happily**

Pets

Safety, trust & environment

Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible to reduce stress while you are away. I carefully follow feeding schedules, medication instructions, and any training guidelines you provide. I have experience handling pets with different personalities, including shy or high-energy animals, and I always approach them calmly and respectfully. I maintain a clean and safe environment, closely supervise outdoor time, and keep owners updated with messages and photos for peace of mind.

Gabriela was one of the best rovers I’ve ever worked with. She was quick to respond, send photos, and be sooooooo loving towards are two high energy Irish setters. She even helped train them the week we were gone. Our pups and cat were so happy and we didn’t even have to worry when we left for a whole week!

She was honest about not being able to walk my dog and cut the walk short. He was anxious about being away from me.

Schedule

Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I am currently a nursing student at APSU, which gives me a flexible schedule throughout the week. I plan my time with the pets I’m caring for with my schooling in mind to make sure they receive plenty of attention, walks, playtime, and consistent care. I am available mornings, afternoons, evenings, and many weekends depending on the booking.

Before caring for your pet, I like to learn as much as possible so I can provide the best experience for them. Please let me know if your pet has any bite history, fears, triggers, or behavioral concerns I should be aware of. I also appreciate knowing about their daily routine, training level, energy needs, and any commands they already know. If there are specific behaviors you would like me to reinforce or work on, I’m happy to help continue that training during our time together.
