I grew up in a family that owned no less than three dogs at any given time (we had a turtle and two lizards, too). I have loved and cared for my family’s pets and the pets of my friends, neighbors, parents’ coworkers, Facebook acquaintances, etc. since I can remember. I have cared for furry friends of all ages and sizes, and have never encountered a pet’s health condition I couldn’t handle. That includes administering prescription subcutaneous injections; disguising unappetizing pills in dog food; gently pilling uncooperative pooches if they sniff out the disguise; assisting old timers with doing their business; and cleaning up all sorts of messes. My dad’s a veterinarian, so I’ve learned quite a few tricks. In short, I’ve been around the block. My current living situation prevents me from having a pet of my own, so I’m always craving some dog time.
