Pet care experience
In addition to living with and caring for dogs most my life, I have 2 years of experience working at a dog boarding and training facility called in Oakland, CA. In addition to playgroup and boarding I spent time as a dog trainer, working with our clients to tackle a range of goals from basic obedience training to more challenging behavioral issues. I have worked with many types of dogs, of all ages and temperaments, and feel comfortable working with older dogs and those who may need medication or other specific care needs. Though I no longer work with dogs at my regular job, I sometimes miss working with them and would be glad to assist individuals who want to ensure their pets get adequate exercise and attention during the busy workweek or while traveling. I also have a dog of my own, a 6 year old chihuahua mix named Kiki who loves going on hiking adventures!
