Doggy day care, walking and general dog adoration
Dogs are life to me; I grew up with a Saluki in the United Arab Emirates, and I miss her dearly. I've run husky/Greenland dog sled teams in Estonia, worked in a dog rescue sanctuary in Spain and managed a pet boarding house in Leicester so I'm familiar with all aspects of looking after dogs (and cats!) - be it walking, cleaning, or just general adoration. I'm a law graduate from Northumbria University and I'm currently working full-time from home with flexible hours, so I've managed my job and the dogs in tandem with ease in the past. I live in a terraced house with a small yard, 5 minutes walk from Saltwell Park so I'm ideally placed for dogs of any shape and size. I also have a 2.5 year old golden retriever of my own, who is my pride and joy. Please don't hesitate to give me a message if you've got any questions 🙂

Gabe is fantastic! He has been regularly walking our (sometimes crazy) Border Terrier Lenny. Communication with Gabe has been excellent throughout and it's clear he both really loves and understand dogs. We can't recommend him highly enough!
Gabe and his partner were absolutely fantastic! They looked after my affectionate Labrador over the weekend with care, fun, and all the attention he could wish for. They even took him to a farmers' market and the local park. Daily pictures and updates kept my mind at ease and filled me with joy that he received so much attention and cuddles. Highly recommended sitters! Will be booking them again without hesitation.
Selkie clearly had a fantastic time with Gabe, his partner and his lovely dog Lyra. She settled in very quickly and got on very well with Lyra. Communication was excellent, Gabe sent nice updates and photos every couple of days for her 6 night stay. Will book again and would highly recommend Gabe!
We were visiting the area from down South for a wedding and arranged the stay well in advance. Gabe was very helpful and communicative throughout. Our 8 month old puppy had a wonderful time and got all the exercise, enrichment, attention and space she needed. She got on well with Gabe's lovely dog, Lyra. Gabe sent us updates and photos and we had complete peace of mind about Zelda staying there. 100% recommend!
Gabe was very accommodating as we needed a last minute booking and welcomed Joey into his home. We received lots of updates on how Joey was getting on with lovely photos from his stay. One minor criticism was that it was implied Joey was aggressive / asserting dominance with their dog when in reality Joey is a 6 month old puppy who was simply initiating play. Overall Joey was cared for throughout his stay and appeared happy. Thank you :)
Gabe at short notice was able to accommodate our 10 month old puppy for day care and had exceptional communication before and during care. Lyra his dog is absolute lovely and Mabel clearly had great fun there. Gabe clearly loves dogs and Mabel was well cared for. Would recommend for any pet care requirements and would confidently book again.

Schedule
I work from home five days a week so I’ll have plenty of time to look after your dog/cat in the meantime. They’ll be a welcome distraction!

I have a fenced yard for bathroom breaks and Saltwell Park 5 mins walk away for exercise. My house is also big enough to accommodate larger dogs.

A typical day
It depends on the dog! Boundless energy means long walks and lots of playtime, but otherwise I try and work the schedule around the pet.
