Hi there! I’m Gabby — a San Diego transplant now happily settled in Torrance, LA. Until I find my next career opportunity, I’m doing what I love full-time: caring for pets! 🐾 I’ve been pet sitting since August 2023, and it quickly became my favorite side hustle while paying off my student loans. I have over 10 years of hands-on pet care experience and am also a proud dog mom to an 8-year-old Japanese Akita named Athena — the inspiration behind my passion for this work. Currently, I offer house sitting, dog walking, and drop-in visits for your furry friends. Whether it’s playtime, walks, feedings, or snuggles, I’m dedicated to providing every pet with an experience they’ll remember (and tails they’ll wag for next time!). My approach is consistent, communicative, and compassionate — I treat every pet like family and keep owners updated with messages, photos, and videos so you always feel connected. Occasionally, I’ll tag team with my husband, John, who shares the same love and care for animals. Two is always better than one when it comes to giving pets extra attention and joy!

When caring for pets in your home, my top priority is creating a safe, comfortable, and stress-free environment where your furry friends feel secure in their own space. I follow your pet’s regular routines, from feeding and walks to playtime and bedtime, to keep them happy and at ease while you’re away. I’m detail oriented and respectful of your home, ensuring everything stays tidy and just as you left it. In addition to pet care, I can take care of small household tasks such as bringing in the mail, watering plants, or taking out trash bins for added peace of mind. You can expect consistent communication with regular updates, photos, and videos, so you always know how your pet is doing. Whether your pet loves energetic play sessions, leisurely walks, or cozy cuddle time, I’ll tailor their care to their personality and comfort level. Safety is always my priority. I make sure doors, gates, and leashes are secure, and I’m attentive to any potential hazards or changes in your pet’s behavior. You can trust that your pet’s well-being and happiness are in capable, loving hands.

Gabby has a great understanding of canine/human dynamics and used that skillset to deliver an outstanding visit with our dogs. Being the first time watching them (Carson & Charlie) in our/their home space, she immediately gained the dog's trust and then expanded the relationship by playing games with them (chase, fetch, etc.). She took them on a pleasant walk through the neighborhood, something both dogs enjoyed very much. Throughout the visit Gabby kept us informed via pictures and videos, which alleviated any pet-parent anxiety we might have had. I wholeheartedly recommend Gabby for your pet care needs. Gabby provided exceptional care for our dog. From our initial meeting, her professionalism and thoroughness were immediately apparent; she asked insightful questions that covered details we hadn't even considered. We truly appreciated the consistent updates and photos she shared throughout the stay. Upon our return, our home was in pristine condition. Furthermore, the training tips she provided have already proven effective. We are incredibly pleased and will definitely be booking her services again!

Gabby demonstrated exceptional attentiveness to Koko, meticulously caring for her needs. She took Koko on walks, ensured she was well-fed, and kept me updated with pictures throughout the process, which I greatly appreciated. I highly recommend Gabby for pet care.
Gabby is an outstanding sitter! Communicative, friendly, caring, joyful, and very responsible. She gave me play by play updates and photos, and was very thorough. She’s great at following directions and doing it with a great attitude :)
Gabby was great! She followed all of our instructions, sent us pictures and updates throughout the day, and went above and beyond making our dogs feel comfortable and loved while we were away. She played with our dogs favorite toys and relaxed with them throughout her stay. She let us know if she left the house and when she would be back. She kept the house clean, which was nice to come back to. This was our first time using Gabby but not the last. We will definitely be using her again! Thank you, Gabby!

Schedule
I’m currently working from home while I begin my job search, which allows me to offer flexible and attentive care for your pets throughout the day. My schedule gives me plenty of time for walks, drop-in visits, and house sitting, ensuring your furry friends get the attention, exercise, and love they deserve. Since I’m primarily home-based, I can easily accommodate last-minute requests and adjust my availability to fit your pet’s routine. Looking ahead, I’m aiming to find a job that also allows me to continue working remotely — though I may need a bit of flexibility in the future if I take on an in-person role. At this time, I’m offering house sitting, dog walking, and drop-in visits, but not boarding or daycare in my home.
