I have a relatively flexible schedule. I work part time at a dog grooming salon. My shifts are typically 6 hours or less, and I only work up to 4 days a week. I do sometimes have other commitments that typically take up to 4 hours at a time.

For people interested in boarding, I have a fenced yard and an 11/yo, 15 lb Shih Tzu who is very friendly. He is laid back and prefers dogs who are also laid back, but has never shown aggression with high energy dogs. I typically walk the dogs I watch at least once a day, but that can vary on the age and/or the activity level of the dog. I can also take them to a park, weather permitting! I always try to keep the pups experience as stress-free as possible, so I listen closely to everything you tell me about your pet. I try to stick to any routine that you guys share, whether that be feeding times, walking times, or anything else! I live in a quiet neighborhood where your dog will be safe with me. Please note, I am typically only able to board small to medium hypoallergenic dogs, up to 30 lbs.

I love to know as much as possible about your pet ahead of time! I need to know their favorite activities, their diet, how frequently they get potty breaks, if they like walks, if they are reactive to anything, etc. The more specific the better!! I’d love to know what their favorite toy is or where their favorite spot to take a nap is. Having a good understanding of your pets routine will help me keep them satisfied while you are away.
A typical day
I love keeping the pets I watch enriched, as well as maintaining the routines they are used to. I prefer to do whatever activities you tell me your pets enjoy. I’m more than happy to keep pets active by going on walks, hikes, playing fetch in the backyard, etc. For laid back pets, I am always down to hang out at the house and show them some love while binge watching our favorite show.

Hi, I’m Gabbi, and I have over 6 years of experience caring for other people’s pets! I am new to Rover, but I have multiple pet sitting references that I can provide from customers that have had me hired me for years! I’ve watched dogs of all sizes from Great Pyrenees to Chihuahuas. I’ve handled hundreds of cats so I am used to every personality. I have also cared for reptiles, amphibians, fish, farm animals, and rodents. I’ve watched dogs who need vigorous exercise, as well as the opposite. I’ve cared for puppies and kittens, seniors, and every age in between. I’ve watched a litter of kittens that were still nursing. I have experience with cats and dogs affected by cerebral palsy, deafness, blindness, and other special needs. I am experienced in administering multiple forms of medication. I also volunteer for an animal shelter, which gives me a lot of unique situations and experiences!

Gabbi was amazing with my rescue dog! He struggles being in new places and she was so understanding and patient with him. Gabbi administered his eye medication just as I asked and he looked great when I picked him up. My dogs stayed with Gabbi over the 4th of July and she was ready to help them through the fireworks. She’s just a great person and I would totally recommend her. She’s definitely my go-to for future boarding needs!
We have worked with Gabbi multiple times for our cats. We have indoor and outdoor cats, ranging from kittens to seniors. Gabbi is great in communication and skillful with these animal friends. We highly recommend her and will reach out again.
Gabbi is an excellent dog sitter. My first time asking for her services and she is very professional and friendly. Boots loved her. I will ask for her to sit for Boots again!!
