Fun, friendly, responsible and caring!
I've been taking care of dogs since my teenage years and have been in love with them for many years before that! Several owners have trusted me with the care of their dogs both in my own home, their homes, for extended periods and daily visits/walks. I make a point of getting to know the dogs I work with and liaise with their owners in terms of their needs and preferences. I have excellent communication skills and will treat your dog like they're my own while they're with me! I do have a cat in my home so am unfortunately unable to look after other cats (he's not a fan!) and dogs looking for care in my home will need to be cat-tested first. I’m very pleased with Freya. My cats were very timid and hid a lot. But she was able to track them down and check all was OK. Thank you! Cats happy and healthy when got back from holiday 😊 Freya also made sure the hedgehog 🦔 in the garden had enough to drink.
Freya has been amazing with my cat Rory, no issues at all and sent plenty of lovely pics while we were away!

Schedule
I am a teacher, so during term time I am available in the evenings and at weekends. During school holidays I can be far more flexible as I am free throughout the week.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a fenced garden and live very close to lots of wonderful countryside in which I can take your dog for varied walks. I can easily transport your dog in my car, which has a spacious boot (though I am also happy to use the back seats if you prefer your dog to be harnessed into the seat belts) in order to give them lots of stimulating exercise in different areas. If your dog is crate trained I am able to facilitate this into his or her care, but am also happy to look after non-crate trained dogs. Due to my cat, your dog will live downstairs for the duration of their stay, but will receive an awful lot of fuss and attention both before bedtime and in the morning! If I am caring for your dog in your home, I am very happy to follow your dog's daily routine and keep them feeling comfortable and loved.

A typical day
During their stay, or my visit, your dog(s) will be my priority. I endeavour not to leave them alone and structure my days so that they can accompany me whenever possible. Dogs will never be left alone in my car and I always factor weather conditions into my planned activities. I always encourage owners to provide toys that their dogs enjoy and will make them feel at home when they are staying with me, and am equally happy to take them for long walks or to fields for a game of fetch; I also know some good river locations for those who like to go paddling!

- Please do let me know of any particular needs or preferences you or your dog(s) have; I will be sure to bear these in mind. I am happy to provide both on and off-lead exercise according to owner preference (and proof of reliable recall). I always bear dietary requirements in mind and am experienced in reading dog body language so am able to manage situations appropriately.
