I rent two antiques stalls at a local antique centre, which allows me complete flexibility in my daily life. I can attend to my stall, at times that suit me; as little or as often as I need to. Therefore, I am able to offer complete flexibility when it comes to availability for pet care.

I have mentioned already in my bio about my two beloved cats and the leash training that I have done with them and the outdoor enrichment this provides them safely, in an area which is otherwise, in my opinion, not safe for cats to roam freely. I devote myself to my pets and to the animals in my care; their needs come first, always. I offer everything from hands on engagement, play, grooming, medication administration and exercise to distanced companionship for those who want space and nothing more than to feel a presence within the home or an owner who requires the peace of mind that a watchful eye provides while they are away.

Animals have been a constant in my life from a young age. Life without their companionship isn’t worth living in my opinion. I have a broad experience of animal care from my own beloved pets - from puppy and kitten stage including training and more intense levels of engagement, play and attention, right up to senior years including administration of medications, monitoring conditions, and adapting care to suit the needs to frail or disabled animals. From a young age I offered private dog walking to my local area, both on and off leash, and different distances and levels of interaction depending on the needs and age of the dog and I am currently the go to dog walker, sitter and drop in for my neighbours one of whom has just welcomed a new puppy into their household and with whom I am regularily assisting with toilet breaks, walks, and feeding where needed. I have two cats of my own, who, I also walk having leash trained them from a young age. Living close to a busy road has meant that inorder to provide my kitties with the enrichment and stimulation they deserve, I make sure that I take them out every day if I can where we enjoy play, sunbathing and ‘sniff tours’. I am a reliable and trustworthy individual who will treat your beloved pet as I would my own. I take animal care very seriously and will go over and above to ensure the safety and happiness of all animals within my care.

Freya has always, from being a young child, had a love of and an intuitive way with animals but particularly dogs and cats. At the age of eight she had her own rescue puppy, Benjie, which she cared for until his death at 17 during which time, when a senior dog, she helped to nurse through some serious health issues including dispensing daily medication. She also helped to look after our family cat Poppy and insisted we adopt two other rescue cats who had been badly treated by previous owners. Now she has two cats of her own. Because she was raised with animals she has no fear of them and knows how they should be handled and cared for. They in turn, through her consistency and reliability of care, trust her and I assume feel safe judging by how happy animals are to see her and be around her. Your beloved pet could not be in better hands.
Freya looked after our 6 month old cocker spaniel puppy and was absolutely fantastic. She was great at communicating, very reliable and clearly a dog lover. Our puppy would have stayed if she could! We'd happily recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy dog sitter or dog walker.
Freya is excellent. Our springer spaniel took to her from day one. Freya has a calm, intuitive way with dogs and always seemed to know exactly what he needed. He came home happy, well exercised and, for once, inclined to sit still for more than thirty seconds. We trusted Freya completely and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her.
Freya has been looking after my dog Marmalade for several years now, doing regular walks for me and house sitting several times when I have gone on holiday. Marmalade absolutely adores her and is ecstatic whenever Freya arrives. She is a very sweet person who is so gentle with animals which made me trust her straight away. Marmalade can be a bit tricky with other dogs when out on walks and so I was a bit worried about asking Freya to manage this when she takes her out. But Freya was very understanding and even researched some methods to help calm anxious dogs and diffuse any nervousness on walks! I am very grateful to her for this and it has meant that Marmalade has been much better with other dogs for the first time in a while. Marmalade won't ever want to play much with others I don't think, but Freya has really helped to improve this situation for me. When house sitting, Freya is regimented with routine and Marmalade definitely has a fun holiday with even more walks than I give! I don't know what I'd do without Freya. Marmalade too!
